European Environment Agency published a major report today to alert governments about the need to attend to early warning signs about technology health risks. The report accuses the mobile phone industry of “inertia in considering the various studies and taking the IARC carcinogenic classification into account,” criticizes the media for not “providing the public with robust and consistent information on potential health risks,” and attacks governments for shirking “their responsibilities to protect public health from this widespread source of radiation.”

This stupid "smart" meter thing a fraud and a rip off and consumers know it, and don’t want these things.

Even you can't honestly believe that you're
important enough that anyone would ever actually
ask for your opinion.

You must have the reguired ego that seriously
believes the darling prostitute at your local
bar when you're told you're cute.

Sky isn't falling, bonehead. Just a simple example of a money thirsty corporation willing to put people at risk and trample on their property rights and security to raise their bottom line. Not the first time it has happened, won't be the last. Just time to recognize it for what it is and put an end to it.

Since you obviously have some sort of damage from this or some other carcinogen, you may not be able to tell if the sky was falling. I will let you know.

Mutations don't require weight in the scientific community. Yours are obvious to the casual observer.

But you think it's OK to go to Walmart and bring back all the Chinese made items comtaining toxic substances and painted with lead paint. There is no way to tell how much people really take into their home because you only read about those few items that people have spot checked and found to be contaminated. Small wonder the Christmas tree still glowed after the lights were off.

Big difference ThomasA. When you go to Walmart and make a purchase, it is your choice. The SMART Meter program is not a choice. If it were, then people wouldn't be nearly as concerned or frustrated.

You really need to be wearing rubber gloves and a face mask if you have ANYTHING made in CHINA from Walmart. It would go right along with the tin hat. You can have your meter re-located away from your house. It would eliminate "much ado over nothing". Now,what about all of those carcinogens, toxins, and lead painted items you brought in under your roof. You welcome them and hate something outside on the wall. Hummmmmmmmmmm!

How do you know I buy anything from WalMart? You are making some pretty broad assumptions. And the issues that I have with the SMART meter are not totally resolved by moving the meter. Like saying that you have a stalker at your place watching everything you do and it is okay if he just parks on the other side of the street.

Its still stalking.

And I would fight for 2nd hand smoke laws in bars and restaurants even if I rarely go to those type of places. Others do. A carcinogen is a carcinogen. It doesn't have to personally cause you cancer to be concerned. Are you so cold that you don't care about family, grandchildren, friends, neighbors that are being unwillingly exposed by a carcinogen?

That's just wrong.

It's certain you avoid WalMart, you've been banned.

Your smart meter is stalking you ? Only if you're using
massive amounts of wattage to grow marijuana should you
be concerned. No one could possibly want to stalk you
otherwise. Grow up.

The smoke issue has been resolved in most progressive thinking cities with public places being smoke free,no more smoking/no smoking sections, waiting areas, and even in many stadiums. There are areas still controlled by the tin hat people who argue about their "rights" over the health and wellbeing of the public.

Interesting that I have the right to prevent someone from smoking in my home or on my property but I don't have the right to prevent the utility company from polluting my home with a Class-B carcinogen.

Something stinks here.

See, you admit that the SMART meters can easily be used to "stalk" or spy on someone.

Your from the left. "No one cares." That's what they always say about any issue until it becomes politically expedient to "care".

And, dear friend, a person may use "massive amounts" of wattage without growing marijuana. But of course that is the use that you are most familiar with.

Yes, you're so important that the Government is gonna
devote hundreds of agents to stalking you.

Yes, " I don't care " about you.

LOL your grasp of reality has obviously been compromised.
SMART meters don't require hundreds of agents to monitor. A single database query can monitor literally millions of consumers.
Liberals don't care about people, they only care about themselves. How much power and control they can exert upon the individual. If they cared about others they would open up their pocketbooks and fund charitable contributions rather than forcing the unwilling to support their pet projects through tax and spend policies.
In your Utopian vision of reality, there is only "THE BORG" and individualism and choice are eradicated.
Uh - no thanks.

I see war for oil and Thomas A are still wearing their dunce hats. Meanwhile the the opposition to "smart" meters continues to gain support. It's easy to see why. The "smart" meter proponents just have nothing but garbage to say. I guess they can't find a single intelligent person to defend them. It has been shown in studies repeatedly, that electromagnetic radiation can cause serious, sometimes fatal disease, major psychological and physical stress, and changes in hormones, body weight, and blood chemistry. EMF-induced decreases in immune competency alone have contributed to a wide range of illnesses and psychological disorders that have resulted in vast suffering, loss of productivity, and shortened lives. The current epidemic of numerous degenerative diseases including cancer and leukemia and other immune dysfunctions often relates directly to the catastrophic effects of corporations like GE and Cisco literally killing for profit and growth.

You can't know what liberals think. Being one requires
culture and education that you lack. They care about progress,
not dragging every Okie into the present.

I don't have a Utopion vision, I live there now.

Sadly, you don't live in reality. Maybe some little tiny corner of some little tiny artificial oasis of imagination. Mostly likely in your mind.

You should get out more and join the real world. Spend a year or two living with real people instead of hiding behind a keyboard and a security gate.

Liberals aren't progressive. There is nothing progressive about aristocratic or bureaucratic control of people's lives. Your Utopian blueprint has been attempted by despots of every generation - control of the masses for the benefit of the "cultured and educated".

Your snobbery speaks volumes about the liberal agenda.
