ow many times do we have to hear the same old story from DHS. A through check was made prior to releasing the child to the custody of whomever. That excuse is a dead horse stop beating it. How about we screwed up and we will do better next time

I pray that the children of this family are going to be well taken care of. I have four children of my own and love them more than myself.I dont know alot about this story but it makes me wish I were a foster mother, I would know for a fact that they would be well taken care.

DHS is overworked, understaffed, and underpaid. do you want your taxes raised to pay them more, so they can hire more people? do you have ANY idea how many people abuse their kids, how many times DHS has to visit homes, interview people, process kids? no, you don't. they make mistakes b/c people lie to them. they can only do so much. do you think they INTENTIONALLY place a child in a bad situation? i hardly think so. it's impossible to get it right every single time. this is the unfortunate truth.

I know there is time to displine a child when is needed,I have one of my own, but this lady, and so called friend of her should be lock up for life. For what very reason this lady can find any love in her for this child is now way out of reach as of now.
They should lock her & her frined up in a closet for awhile,no one should be very get treated like this in any way, especially a child, even some animals get treated better then this.

Just a horrible picture to think about. I hope that the young man can heal and move on and learn to live a safe and happy life.

This boy will never live a normal life. He has been abused and punished for so long and he will need professional help for decades, for which the state should take care of.

He doesn't need a family anymore as he will not develop trust to anyone. The poor boy is going to make his live on a thin secure line not being able to establish social relationships based on confidence and honesty.

The mother has already killed the human aspect within that boy and should be in jail for the rest of her life.

The problem is when the DHS believes the lies and don't bother to check up on the background of such lies. I know a family who's children were torn from them under a false accusation that the mother was incapable of taking care of the kids due to her mental state. "She had been in a mental hospital five times this year alone" was the claim the angry in-law claimed. The woman hasn't been into a mental hospital in over five years, takes her meds regularly and honestly loves her kids. This DHS woman lied under oath about the situation and the kids (instead of being given to family who lived nearby) were SEPARATED and given to strangers. Being understaffed is one thing, being overly zealous is a whole different story.

actually, my little brother was put into a foster home because the DHS thought he was underfed and abuse. we had numerous doctors that filed letters stating that he was born premature and was only small and would be for most of his life. that didn't matter to the Gods of DHS. my family had to file with the supreme court, have a congressman testify and we finally got my brother back. the unfortunate act was when we got my bother back from a DHS approved foster home he had developed asthma, had cigarette burns on his body and a black eye. so F*@$ You and your OverPaid and obviously underworked self. you people are a discrace and should have the things done to you that you put the children through. all for a paycheck, you make me sick.

i feel like you knew the job description when you signed up so that is no excuse for children beign abuse but let someone call yall and say somebody was smoking cigars or whooping there kids for somthing they deserve yall be all over that so there is no excuse for a child being abuse or placed in a irresponsible home.

This is one of the worst cases I have ever heard of. This woman and man need to be locked up and the key thrown away. I hope someone is able to help this child deal with the things his mother has done to him.

i read the comments posted previously and in all fairness it seems a heinous story but as of this morning the woman arrested is still innocent until proven guilty in a court of law . the salem witch trials have begun to hang her already but i would like to remember somebody saying, "judge not lest ye be judged," or something like that

Someone should get ahold of the mother and do the same thing to her. i bet she wouldnt like it. She has no business having kids, so the state should make her get fixed where she cant. And as far as DHS is concerned, there system is to screwed up to do much good! They need some major help in getting it back in shape where is will help kids more than hurt them!
