This action only further hurts the workers in MI. Besides being frivilous law, when Walmart has to spend thousands in penalties for this witchhunt...they will layoff michigan workers...THANKS Cox/Granholm for increasing taxes on the backs of michigan workers.

I agree the employment situation in MI is not good, and that we shouldn't be constantly harrassing a company that provides quite a few jobs. On the other hand, however, I'm sick and tired of never knowing what things cost at my local Wal-Mart. Perhaps this will force them to get their act together.

This pricing law is a tax on all consumers in MI. It costs more to price every item...ie labor...then those costs are past on to who ? The rich can handle it...but most of michigan is lower middle class and poor and those people get wacked with a veiled tax. A reasonable solution would be to require prices on all items in-excess of a certain dollar amount...say 5 or 10 dollars. This would benefit all involved.

It dont take law suits for walmart to hurt its employees. I cant stand walmart and i think the government should take more actions to limit their abilities. I see walmart becomin a future monopoly and they have a very crappy work ethic. Recently, one of my friends who had spent dedicated years to the company was recently fired for an absurd reason. After seven years, you recieve three years of vacation and become fully invested into the company. When was he fired? Just five days before he was to recieve those benefits. I believe they done that just so they could start over with someone else and pay them quiet a bit less. Walmart are crooks and eventually they will get what is comin to them. Unfortanutely i do not believe Sam Walton would have seen his company come to this and would turn in his grave. I believe the big wigs just let him tour around the United States in ignorant bliss makin him think he was promotin the company when really they just wanted him out of their hair.

Enforcing ANY law puts an increased burden on taxpayers, Steve. The average cost of incarcerating a criminal is somewhere around $40,000 a year. Should we empty the jails and prisons so poor people won't have to pay?

Wal-Mart knew what the law was when they invaded Michigan. Lord knows they only "play by the rules" when forced to. After all, Wal-Mart is ABOVE the law, right Steve?

Wal-Mart is lowering prices, to put all local businesses out, then, BAM, they jack them up!
