yes i agree, The nurse has a lot to be desired, I hope that some day a family member of her's has someone treat them the same. I heard she was fired from Palm Beach, The only reason she is working here is because she devil is realated to someone who works there. Thats the rumor.

You are both idiots. It's obvious that you know from personal experience... Next you'll say it wasn't your fault and that those were "cold sores". Get over yourselves.

yes i have a comment....the jail is NOT for play-time....its for people who have commited crimes, however small they may be and must be punished.Although....tact and some humanity is desired...but not required.

Where is tact and humanity needed when dealing with child molesters? Murderers? Drug Dealers? Habitual Offenders? These people are in and out enough to know who to mess with and who not to mess with.

The nurse at the jail knows who is trying to pull a fast one and who is not. She is a very keen woman whom I have a lot of respect for. And no she does not put up with BS.

She does not let people get the best of a situation and that is why people do not like her. She will cut right to the chase and let you know exactly where you stand.

It is a CORRECTIONAL FACILITY, not a day at the fair. People who are there have been arrested and charged with offenses. Most people there are convicted felons. Wake up and smell the chow!

There are others there with questionable practices that need to be looked at more closely than her.

She will tell you one thing and do something completely different. There are people in there who have not had their day in court and therefore are supposedly to be considered innocent until found guilty. You must have been talking with the Sheriff as he also says that the jail is for punishment. But he says it is NOT a correctional facility it is a detention center.

Actually tact and humanity among other things are required. having worked with these officers, I hope you never get to experience what some people have. They are there as punishment, not to be harrasseed on a daily basis, which they are.

I worked the Okeechobee County Jail for about 6 months before I got hurt. I never wanted to leave but I didn't have a choice. I will tell you that ALL inmates were treated with the respect they deserve and there was NEVER anytype of abuse. They were handed their meds on time, ate when they were suppose to, made phone calls when they were allowed and there was never a problem. I don't know how it was in other facilities but I can promise all Okeechobee inmates were never harmed or mis-treated by Okeechobee Deputies. Please stop the rumors. The Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office is an excellent agency to work for and nobody needs to disrespect any agency member.

Nooo. Not "over a TV". A drug addicted neighbor who knew she carried LARGE amounts of cash, Knew she lived alone mostly, and knew there would be no gun and no defense, ROBBED HER AND KILLED HER. The television was a just convenient.
I feel for you. Losing a loved one sucks. But lets all agree that at the very least, we all learned a lesson. Know who your neighbors are. Change your routine. Snipers will tell ya.."Never put your foot in the same place twice."
So here we are. We lost an innocent, upstanding member of society. Now lets move forward. Buy a firearm. Learn to use it PROPERLY. Learn to put two in the chest and one in the forehead. Let people know that you are not an easy target. Stop this "victimization" Stop this "Puss-if-acation " of America!! Blow these a**holes away and let their mommas know that they might be next!!!

you only worked there for six months, you cannot attest to anything. I worked there and other facilities, and yes, the inmates do get abused. I am not saying they all get abused all the time or that people do not make things up, but it does happen alot more than anyone thinks. 6 months, you were still a newcock

Eric, this a**hole will pay dearly. LEO's, Judges, And CO's, will all be thinking the same thing......put him in general population and let the fairies have their way with his anal cavity. Dale will wish he was dead when they are reaming him into oblivion. So you got that going for ya. He will pay dearly. Just like the the kiddie creepers. There are NO RIGHTS in prison. Don't let anyone tell you differently.
