Why is this on Campbell Topix???? The answer...the ear stapling mafia write the same vague question, then have another "Member" of their mafia refer you to THEMSELVES. It's a set-up, internet scam across the US to keep EAR STAPLING bumped to the top, to pray on honest people. Just watch, some one will sing the benifits of stapling and refer them to a .com somewhere. If stapling worked, there would be no overweight doctors or celebraties.

There is no scientific evidence to suggest ear stapling or aurical (sp?) treatment has any effect whatsoever on weight loss or smoking greater than that of placebo.

Personally, I don't have to read a scientific study to know a snake oil salesman when I see one. I just wish that when they try to sell people worthless crap like this, they would at least sell something that is less potentially harmful. Something like the ear magnets to help people stop smoking. It won't work,(unless the person really believes it will, there is something to be said for psychosomatic cures...the placebo effect) but at least magnets on your ears doesn't leave the person open for infections, etc. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if you REALLY want to lose weight, staple your mouth shut!
