Hot Rod was an angel from the first moment i saw him. My little girl thought the sun rose and set with him. He will be greatly missed in this home. I hope that god gives his family some measure of peace at this difficult time. My prayers are with you.

I went to school with him. We didn't really talk much, but he was really nice to me as well to everyone else.He was the one that got everyone unstuck out of the mud, he would drop everything down just to help anyone with being stuck to just listening to people's problems. It's so sad what happened to him, no one expected it. I feel so bad about this. We need to keep everyone in his family in our thoughts and prayers. Everyone in this little town of Calumet will never forget you Hot Rod, I speak for myself and everyone else in this community and everyone that he ever knew. Thanks for being there for us Hot Rod.

Hotrod was one of my best friends. We graduated together from Calumet, and shared many memories together from 6th grade graduation to prom. He was an awesome hunter and fisherman. He could make you laugh in a split second. He was the type of kid that you see and instantly smile. Everything about him was such a blessing. He was there when you needed him for something, whether it be to help fix your truck or just someone to talk to and to tell your secrets. He is with God right now and I truly believe he is watching over all of us. He will never be forgotten, we will always remember and love him.

Please keep the family, friends, and the town of calumet in your prayers,

My family and I we're blessed enough to meet this young man and Darren White (Jr.) for the first time this summer.... They came to our lake house with Darren (Sr.) and my Sister Stacy... The boys made a wonderful impression on our family and we enjoyed so much sitting aroung the table eating fish together and riding around on Possum Kingdom Lake and hearing their stories of the things they loved to do and what had been going on at their church that they had been a part of....ect. What a tragedy... This young man obviously made a huge impact on each life that was blessed enough to of met him and shared in his life.... Our thoughts and prayers are with The family and Friends of "Hot Rod"... We are thankful to of met him and spent time with him... even if only for a while.... May God continue to give each of you peace and comfort in the days ahead and always....

How many young people will have to bear witness to the fact of this horrible vehicle design by General Motors? Over 1600 people have died in similar accidents. This truck should not have burned.
