What is a "gay friendly" building? It seems to me a building shold be neutral and not designated as gay friendly or hetero friendly.

A "gay friendly" building would be one where gay people could live without fear of being harassed by fellow tenants merely for being gay, for example.
Heterosexuals likely wouldn't need a "hetero friendly" building because the likelihood of them being harassed about their orientation is very slim in most places.
It would be nice if this weren't a concern so that we wouldn't have to hunt for places that are safe for us to live openly as gay people. Andy by "live openly" I mean as open about being homosexual as heterosexuals are about being heterosexual - no more, no less.
