Rumor has it that the person who does the electric work for OFA had put in for retirement. Someone at the top of the food chain wanted his relative to get the position, even though he has no experience. At the last minute the position was changed to a different classification and lower payscale.
One person who actually was interviewed, had actually been a foreman on the electrical end of many construction jobs at the school.
Rumor has it that a sweetheart deal was worked out so the person retiring will stay on the job longer (at the taxpayers expense) and him and the other workers will all have to help train the relative.

Larry is going to help with the transition due to his Knowledge, I am Not sure if Mr. Vernseys relative is qualified or not, but Mr. Mccarthy must of thought he was the best candidate
Nepotism is hard to stay away from in a small school st=system

Now this is an interesting thread. Please go on and let us know the details of said corrupt deal. Larry who?

Wonder what the school board felt about this. But then again, who OWNS the school board?

Larry was going to get out but will now stay longer to train this person. A person was turned down for this position who was more than qualified.
Rumor has it that the relative has no experience at this position. He has worked as a janitor, no electrical experience.
This guy could seriously hurt someone or cause a costly expense. You cannot train someone to do that job within such a short period of time unless they have lots of electrical experience.
This also means they are putting another on the payroll without there being a vacant position.

Lawrence Hamilton?
James McCarthy?

Are these the key players in maintaining the buildings? Why would they hire an unqualified applicant for the job? Just because the person is a relative of Tim Vernsey? Who is the relative?

McCarthy and Hamilton should not look the other way on this. They weaken the trades and will put the other workers under more stress as they are than made to pick up for the slacker who is otherwise not qualified to do the job.

And the school board continues to think they know what they are doing because they like to play politics. I guess the applicant looked good on paper. Common practice. No Union?

Who is the moron who is putting the little judge it signs on this thread? no shot? picked a good name for yourself.
curious

Probably the most qualified is a druggie. Might as well stick with family.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Pisces

You're raring to go today, especially on domestic projects. You'll achieve a tremendous amount if you're allowed to proceed at your own pace and in your own time, but you'll soon get ratty if you suspect someone is breathing down your neck or trying to tell you what to do. You'll also feel irritated with people you know really well, so be prepared for a few fireworks.
