Time Warner Vs. Direct TV

Time Warner Vs. Direct TV

I have Time Warner, was thinking of changing to Direct TV (primarily due to the unvailability of the NFL Network on Time Warner). Which one do you have, how do you feel about your service? I feel like I have to "reset" our set top box too frequently because menus get slow and/or unresponsive. We have poor (pixelated) reception sometimes during storms - yes not only satellite is affected by weather. I'm always angered by the fact that all of these companies offer their incentives to new customers, and never do much to thank their loyal, long time, customers. Instead, they spend their money and time making it more appealing for us to constantly switch providers (even though it costs everyone more in the long run to do so). Sorry for the tangents... Are you happy with your service, what do you like, dislike?

Dishnetwork is the cheapest of them all. As long as you don't like the movie channels, packages start from 19.99 to 49.99 for the promotion, then go to 24.99 to 69.99 depending on what channels you like. They also have a seperate sports pack, so you can get a small main package, then pick up the sports from about 7 extra.

Also, with time warner, you can still get their basic 2-13 package for about $15 .... for those of you complaining about price, this is EXTREMELY reasonable, you get all your locals plus a few other channels, like TBS (which is rather popular and plays alot of stuff for the whole family) and CMT..which many of the older crowd likes.

I have watched loads of things on the internet, that I watch on cable. I am thinking about dropping cable and just going with my internet, I can watch what I want and when I want. My only drawback is I would miss out on most sporting events. If they had a sports package on the net, it would be bye bye cable.

I think spending more than $25 a month is too much for tv. Some packages are over $100 for TV.These companies get rich off of us and not enough competition to lower the rates.

The commercials pay thru the nose and so does the consumer to watch

We got netflex for 8 bucks a month dropped the cable to basic (only keep it for the bundle)...we seldom if ever watch cable now....no ads can watch a show in 20 min. to cables 30 min. ...only draw back is you have to wait till they get it ....but you can watch series episodes back to back with no ads....what's not to like ...We get local weather and news from the internet...so don't even watch that anymore

If you call and tell cable your switching they will give you a better price, they need the customers.Instead of voicing the problem to topix trolls call the source of the problem and the people who can do something about it.
