Sussex County school officials agree to wage freeze

It is nice to hear that some of the school officals are accepting a wage freeze. How about ALL the other school employees as well?! Many of us in the private sector are forced to do that already, due to recession. Why should we on in addition to our wage freezes- also have to pay higher taxes- to pay for wage increases to some one else- who is no less or more deserving than us?

I agree I have not had a pay increase of any kind in 6 years and I have had a furlow day every other Monday for 2 years.
I think it's about time that the NJEA gets thier collective heads out of their buts and starts to help the teachers,Pay freeze, ferlows, and paying for medical is the way of the privet sector. It seems that the suppervisors ( superintendants, ect.) just want more pay and forget about the teachers and childern.
