NJ bank feels breakup pain after dismissed accountant quits before finishing audit

Lakeland Bancorp, the Oak Ridge-based lender, missed its deadline to file its annual financial statements with the Securities and Exchange Commission after its auditor suddenly quit last year, the bank said in a filing this week. Full Story

not a smart move on lakeland's part. you don't get rid of someone until the job is done. they should have appeased grant/thornton until the document was filed with the sec so they would not have miss their filing and incur late filing fines/fees.
