I think Don is absolutely correct, AC is very expensive, not just the place itself but traveling is about $45 round trip just in gas and tolls alone. add in parking, tips and room taxes, mmmm the buffet prices and even more ridiculous prices at the celebrity lavish resultants. you got yourself a one hell of an expensive getaway. Might be OK for an anniversary/birthday celebration or New Years party or a once every 6 months for a change in atmosphere a place to hang but certainly no more of this obligatory gambling as we have seen in the past recent years about around 2006-2007 in the past when AC was fairly affordable.
With food prices and show tickets through the roof, not to forget to mention the minimum on tables now $15 to $25 and and very expensive penny slot machines Max bets. slot entertainment is driving people further away to their happy places like Pa and NY.

true, never before are before seen prices and comped rooms so low priced in Atlantic City, the other entertainment, food gambling and shows can and is out of reach for the average player, that's why Pa is doing so well.
