Ogdensburg Police Disband

NOT A Chance
When the mayor of Ogdensburg NJ received a ticket for parking his vehicle illegally exclaimed to the officer who he was, expected the officer to retract the ticket. Not So. The officer being who he is, told the mayor, he has broken the law and will have to pay like any other citizen. This did not go over well with the mayor. After several more discussions with the officer, but to no avail, had to accept his wrong. But here’s the thing….Not only was his vehicle parked illegal, it was UNREGISTERED.“this is your mayor” Of which he did not get a ticket for an unregistered vehicle. So, what next on the agenda…”disband the police department”. Leaving the good citizens of Ogdensburg with NO personal police department of which property values would plummet right into the toilet. Nevertheless, that doesn’t matter considering Mr. Mayor is ticked off for being treated like any other lawbreaker. Good Job Ogdensburg Police for not getting intimidated by the big bully.
Towns’ people…Is this the kind of mayor and council you need? No regards for the good citizens, their property values, personal police protection etc. When the mayor wanted disbandment of the police dept., He needed approval from the council, of which they approved. I think…”DISBAND THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL”. NOW! Again, I reiterate, Do you want this kind of leadership? This is News and comments…Good Day.

We would be better off with the Sparta Cops, these ones we have are just a "good old boys" club. I for one hope the mayor DOES disband this group of hooligans that run rampant through our quiet town harassing all who pass. They themselves race their cars through our streets with NO concern for our children; yet will ticket civil servants for delaying traffic. WOW! Where is the justice here? The fat bastard prosecutor was even worse to deal with than the crooked cops. His fat ass wanted to show that he was in charge and throw around his power in the name of "justice" please. He needs to hit a salad bar and stop hitting up hard working honest citizens trying to shake them down so he can justify his existence. I hope they all get what they deserve and the mayor strikes a deal for another town to cover us or better yet let the state police take over and lower our taxes. We are paying these fools to harass and abuse us! Why? I say we band together and lower taxes by eliminating the wasteful police and prosecutors salaries. Would you like lower taxes? I would! Do you like being harassed by power hungry corrupt police force that only take care of their friends and family? I no longer wish to pay their salary no matter how meager it may be. They are NOT worth a hill of beans in my book. Would LOVE to see them on the unemployment line!

I agree, but having Sparta take us over is not the answer. Their good ole boys club is no better, Sparta police are just as bad a pulling people over for meaningless offices just in the hopes it leads to something else. And if Sprata would have taken us over and it didnt work out, then we would have to relie on State Police.. LOL my thought is tht would be even worse.. you would wit days for a responce .... just my opinion

With the Sparta Police you have a shot at getting a fair shake unlike those of Ogdensburg. The Ogdensburg cops fly through the town I for one have witnessed one cop (a young guy that I won’t name) driving his grey truck VERY fast down small streets and he doesn't get pulled over yet the average “Joe” gets ticketed and has to show up in court for minor crap. These guys are OUT OF CONTROL and need to be reined in. I for one am sick and tired of this poor excuse for a police force. Once you get to court expect to be shaken down by the prosecutor who will amend tickets at will and strong arm law abiding citizens to justify his existence. I believe that is unconstitutional but hey I guess the constitution doesn’t hold up in a corrupt system run by the boys club, right? Shame it didn’t happen and I HOPE that they take another look at this.

Funny, I know EXACTLY which one you're talking about as well. Why are we paying them to run our children out of parks? Isn’t that where our kids belong? Wait I guess they should all stay home and do nothing cause that’s realistic. Makes me wonder are we not paying enough taxes or is it that we the general public can’t keep up with the "Smith's" wait sorry I meant to say the "Jones” LOL. I hope one day we can get a decent cop with real training that runs a community outreach program cause I for one think they’re real jerks. None of my friends like to visit my house for fear of being pulled over by these morons. I know they all need to justify their jobs but when the police don’t have crime to fight they turn on the people. That is exactly the situation we have in our cute little town. I wish I could sell and move elsewhere; but realistically I don’t think I’ll be able to find a sucker to move here with all the current problems. I’m sure I’ll run into you at the Jersey Girl where we can all watch the “honest” cops get their free coffee (oh wait isn’t that illegal as well) hmmm.:) See you around town hope you can stay clear of the fools!

The mayor never spoke to any officer about his ticket. His car was registered. And Brian can start his stories off like this "once upon a time...", because Brian likes HIS fairytales.

Ogdensburg needs Jesse Wolosky who helped Sparta discourage 3 high flying phonies who thought themselves more privileged than yhe taxpayer. Good luck in selling your houses, Manny, and Brownshorts!
