Is Junction City really so broke they can't afford to fill vacant positions?

heard they are cutting positions in city hall, and all those positions that the city was allowed and told to hire by the commissioners are not being filled and probably wont be filled. feel safe yet?

After Tuesdays commission meeting I wonder about the city's ability to pay it's bills. The owner of Konza had to bring a bill for almost a million dollars to the meeting to try to get it paid. I don't think any business can afford to let that kind of bill go unpaid much longer. Barnes expained in the past JC had the money to pay out and wait to get reimbursed by the State. Now they don't have the money to pay. He said it should be paid up by the end of the year. The bill was due many months ago and he just now made the excuse why it isn't paid. As I and many others have said before, it appears that the city government is being mis-managed and now it looks like our credit is no good as well. There is no way I would do any work for a company with this kind of payment record. A business would go broke waiting for the money to be paid.
Maybe some other business owners could respond on here, just to see how many have bills to the city in waiting.
