I use your site to check on Ogallala current news. What a laugh!!! Usually any news posted is at least a week old. Absolutly no sports news. Ogallala high school has probably one of the top football teams in the state, but to look at your NEWS??? the team does not even exist. We try to find news about your town as our son and his family live there and our grand sons play for Ogallala High school sports teams. We might as well look in the Wall Street Journal for all the good your site does.

This site is a data mining site, not moderated by any life person. It automatically searches other news sites online and cross-posts sites from those other sites.

If you have searched for Ogallala News online, you undobutedly found two even more useless websites!:)

You will find that topix.com has "local" news pages for nearly every community in the country, and they are all about the same.

The computers automatically search other news sources for stories pertianing to a certain place name.

Since there are no other media outlets that faithfully cover Ogallala (the local newspaper isn't online, the local radio station doesn't post news online, and the nearest TV station maybe runs one story a week about Ogallala), the information has to come from other communities' news sources, and as you can see, they don't mention Ogallala very much--not even the "statewide" papers like the Journal Star or World-Herald.

Larry, I don't see anyone putting down the Keith County News. It just isn't available online.

Now, ogallalatv.com , OTOH. Holy crap, that site is messed up. I don't know how else to put it. I think the "reporter"/webmaster has some serious mental problems.
