Hey posters! You do realize that desegregation is coming to St. Charles County school districts, right? Have you seen the news and been paying attention? The new "Turner Rule" that is being debated in St. Louis County Circuit Court allows students from unaccredited school districts in adjoining counties to enroll in our local schools.

Before you even ask, the Riverview Gardens School District in St. Louis County is currently UNACCREDITED! That means that any and all students from the Riverview Gardens Schools MAY enroll in ANY district they choose in St. St. Charles County. Yes, you will have to accept students from that district and you CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! It is the law in the State of Missouri!

Hello, probably not the place to ask this question but I am on the verge of uprooting my family from Arizona and moving to your neck of the woods, so here it goes. Are your comments on the above issue due to the over all racial attitudes in the area? or is there some other factor? My wife, myself and our children are Native American and have been looking at your area as a good place to raise our family as opposed to where we are now due to all the voilent crime and drug abuse. So the last thing that I want to do is buy a home in an area where they will have to be subjected to racial hatred on a regular basis as part of the common or usual way of the area. I would appreciate any honest information. Thanks.

I think most of the thread on here about this area is not racial but more to inform the tax payers that their money & dreams are second nature to what politics will create & implement & you as the citizen & tax payer have no control or say so about . That seems to be the norm any where you go in America . As far as a safe area for families ,I would say yes .Do your home work & check out crime statistics , property values ,school district values , employment etc After all that .Remember the Grass is always Greener on the other side of All The Fences .

The racial polarization in the St. Louis metro area is primarily black and white. I doubt whether you or your children will experience any issues on a regular basis. Occasionally yes; often, no.
