Homeless people are just plain lazy, I have 2 jobs, my wife works, everyone I know has at least one job and another source of income on top of that. The economy sucks but there's work to be had. Stop giving out, and relying on handouts and a lot of our problems would go away. As for the homeless here in St. Charles, some nice person should give them $20 and a ride across the river where they belong.

At their age, they would qualify for social security I am sure, it is obvious there are some are problems at play. Years ago they had mental institutions for these people. When the state stopped paying for them and they had to close them, all those people had to be absorbed wherever, some went to the streets, and that is where they are today It is a society problem, not just an individual one.

Well, would it kill them to pick up some trash or push a broom while they're taking up space on our streets then. Can't they do something at least somewhat productive rather than just walk around making property values go down? Can't we round all of these folks up and ship them off to Mexico or something, give them guns and drop them in Afghanistan maybe?

I was going to rate your comment, but then I couldn't find a selection for "dumb a$$".

The great majority of homeless people are mentally ill, so it's not just as simple as going to get two jobs or that they are lazy.

I googled "homeless lady on mid rivers mall drive" and found this. I see her almost everyday when driving home and wondered about her. I see her on Mid Rivers, Salt Lick, Suemandy and yesterday I saw on her the service road staring at Hwy 70. My 15 year old nephew that goes to Fort Zumwalt East say it was his classmates that made the Facebook page on her. She isn't the only homeless person I have seen. When I exit onto Cave Springs, sometimes I see people begging.

Every once in a while she wanders over to BJC-St. Peters, she stinks to high heaven.

There are more homeless people living in St. Charles County than you can even imagine. Just because you don't see them on the corner with suitcases doesn't mean they don't exist.

Check this out.

Pray for all of these families because with times the way they are anyone of us could be next.
