Let's see if i have this right. If i'm at Bryan and Veterans Memorial and i want to visit my mom at Gentemann Manor, i'll have to take the one way Veterans Memorial eastbound to Woodlawn, turn left then go over I-70 and travel westbound on Terra Lane back to Gentemann Rd for a total of 3.7 miles?

Presently, all i have to do is go north on Bryan over I-70 to Terra Lane, then go east about a block, make a left for a total of 0.6 miles. It is 1.5 miles from Terra Ln and Bryan to Terra Ln and Woodlawn.

Same questions for my trips to Car Quest, Hansens, St. Dominics; etc. etc.

Also consider the Fire Protection District House 4 at the southwest corner of Bryan and Sunview. How do they get to all those seniors (our mom included) at Gentemann since they will not be able to drive eastbound on Terra Lane. Did the council really study this like they should have before they voted?

Do you know how many cars exit I-70 at Bryan, then drive eastbound on Terra Lane? Are you saying all those high schoolers will no longer be able to go east on Terra Lane?

How does this smooth traffic, conserve fuel and cut down on emissions?

By the way, i go to see my mom at least 4-times a week.

All in all, the one-way plan sounds like a very bad idea.

Another example of YOUR elected officials mind set . The TAXPAYERS need to do their HOME WORK before giving the OK for some one to run or ruin their life or quit complaining of the OUT COME ? Remember what ever happens in your life is mostly of your own accord so DO YOUR HOME WORK before you act . It is ( FREE ) & SIMPLE !

Are you implying the citizens should get involved? Yeah, that'll happen.

They had multiple public hearings on the project and very few people showed up to complain. You can't say officials aren't listening to the people if the people don't show up voice their displeasure. Show up or shut up.
In St Peters the people showed up in force and the aldermen voted the one-way service roads down.

I guess the answer now being both St Peters & O'Fallon are involved , the taxpayers of those districts & any other along 70 need to find out what or who BRAIN STORMED this money & time wasting idea and stop that person or departments funds so they won't make this type of a mistake in governing again .

I live off Veterans Memorial with only one way into our neighborhood, now I have to travel more miles to just get home, more gas, more money!!! This is wrong!
