I'm seriously considering buying a condo at Chapter One condos in Weldon Spring. Can anyone tell me if they have information (good or bad) that might be usefule to me?

I have an empty and ready to sell 2br 2bath townhome in Chapter One. I've lived there for six years and am now moving out of state. If you'd like more information let me know. I'm not yet with an agent and would like to sell by owner. Great place to live.

Current resident here.
VERY VERY high monthly condo fee, its over $250/month now!!!
Plus they hit you up EVERY year for an assessment fee. In 2008 it was $500, they are predicting $3000 in 2009.
Then you have the people around you. Parking sucks.
Most of the windows in all the units need to be replaced and maintenance is a joke; they are months behind.
If I didn't travel for my job I would dump this place in a heart beat and take the loss

I have lived at Chapter One for 3 years and love it. I do have a two car garage and have not had parking issues. There was a 500 assessment, that is all I have paid. They talked about $3000 assessment, but have decided to have owners take care of their own windows. The condo's are more expensive to maintain because they are made of wood, but they look great. The price is substantially lower than other communities and you are 2 minutes from highway 40. So there are cheaper condo fees, but for what you get at the price it is worth it to me. I am engaged ( will now have a family of 7) and is the process of selling my Condo for 109,000 for a two bed room. This is signficantly cheaper than other areas. My recommendation is to look at other Condo's in the area. I felt the Chapter one looks more like a homes than other Condos that look like apartments.

I just moved in less than a week ago. The electric wiring in my unit is not so good - none in the bedroom except for two wall outlets. The walls are thin, I can hear the neighbors below me and I have inherited some roaches. This one thing above all has made me regret the move here.

I am in the process of selling my home. I have a child at FHHS and would like to keep her from having to change schools. I am looking for a condo to rent. Are there restrictions that prevent leasing in this community?
