As he should! You go thumping on a woman and attacking an officer, he's lucky he didn't take 2 to the chest and one to the head! However... Now he has a chance to heal from his wounds and serve a little time only to be released into the public and do it all over again! Bravo to the officer! Job well done sir, thank you for protecting our community!!

Pretty sure if a gal said he forceably raped her, then the police came along and he was still naked and attacked the police officer, he had a shootin' coming.....of course family always thinks it's some huge conspiracy, but then, when it comes to family, most folks are dumber than a box of sh!t.

agree... Addiction doesn't give him an excuse to rape someone or attack an officer... Yes indeed he deserved what he got! His "family" wouldn't be in this mess if he had been taught to behave himself!

so you going to tell me that he didn't attack the officer and that woman? You mean to tell me that that officer didn't receive injuries from " Scottie" BEFORE he shot at him? I commend the officer for tazing him to begin with then using his final choice of his weapon when he was being attacked! What did you expect the cop to do when he's getting bit in the face and brutalized by a drug addicted person trying to take his gun... The shooting was completely justified, where were this guys friends and family while he was so called struggling with drug addiction? Not the officers problem... He was being attacked, he had the right to shoot....

No, what they are saying is that he was 'high' and that excuses all of this.....you're apparently not responsible if you get high, get addicted to drugs, and then rape somebody (not to mention attacking the police)......it's a 'disease'...like cancer, he's not responsible for his own actions.

I think that's what they are trying to say.......and it's BULL ****!

Firstly my heart goes out to the victim and her family. How horrible to be the target of such a violent outrage. My heart goes out to Scott's family. It is possible to hold someone responsible and to have compasion for them. Scott caught a break!! That officer could have and probably should have justifiably taken him out. This unfortunate incident may have saved his life. Where I come from that is called grace. I pray he does not waste this opportunity to get help and stay clean.
