Yeah this lady has been spoken to by police and then watched crossing the street to a parking lot where she got in her nice car and drove away. Do not be fooled by yet another panhandler out for easy money from suckers. I have seen this lady walking around for several years now and she gets all around the St. Charles area amazingly well.

This is not true, she is homeless. Myself and other family members have stopped to help her...She is a bit crazy to say the least...But, she does not drive a car or have an apt. I have called the police about her. Also, have helped her late at night in the pouring rain, and in the horrible heat, always with that heavy coat on... We have followed her somewhat, it is a sad case, and who knows how she got to this point...But a little kindness goes a long way.

Yes...she actually makes her way around St. Charles county. There's even a page on Facebook about her. It is a good area...there's homeless people all over the country.

i dont see it as being that much of a problem. i recently moved into the area as well. but i mean, at least there isnt a homeless person every two feet as there is in some places. and just because shes black doesnt mean anything. there are white people whom are homeless as well. there is one that has a running car and loitters around st. charles by the bass pro shop and such. but just becuase they are homeless does not mean they are bad people. just average day people, whom may not have made the right decisions financially within their life, and have no one willing to help them. take this into consiceration, at least you are not the one homeless, and in her place. its going to start getting hard on her now that it is turning to winter.

I moved here to get away from all of that. Those people need to stay on their side of the river.

The police should give her a free ride across the river and drop her off at a bus stop.

I saw her and stopped. She seems kinda crazy, but she said I could help her by (the rolling suitcase lady) paying her night at thata hotel at 70/TR Hughes blvd. I did , it was 83$. I tried to get her to a cheaper place, but she insisted. So I paid, and the clerk was all nice and sweet, and saying, yes, how nice of you to help her...blah blah blah....it was a few days later that I thought, they were probably in it together, Pam Seargant (the homeless lady) gets someone to pay her night at the hotel, then gets a cash refund. I dont know if she is truly needy or not. but at least my heart was in the right place, if her's wasn't, thats between her and God.

Great. Maybe now she will tell her cousins and thay can all come out and have a stay.

Can anyone explain why the police haven't given her a ride back over the river to be with her people? I thought that is what they are supposed to do with people like this.

I apologize. One more New Years resolution: sensitivity training for me.
I should have said people with whom she shares a common experience and heritage.
Please excuse me now, I have to go be with my ignorant redneck racist asshat peeps.

Right, because segregation is the way to go. Maybe you should get in your time machine and go back to 1955.

Sorry, I've done my time on the other side of the river. Segregation was what I wanted and it is what I got when I moved here and I want to keep it that way. Its bad enough I have to work in St Louis.

If you want to know what I used to live every day, go spend some time at the WalMart on West Florissant in Ferguson.

its not that she came from any side of the river. she is another human being who has not made the best decisions in life. for all you really know, she lived here first. dont judge someone based on race, or whether they have a home or not.

When I'm on the road at work and see the woman in the coat/hat (regardless of weather) and rolling suitcase, I usually receive a wave from her as I pass by. Funny thing, she only waves with one finger. She has never met me. I'm a pretty nice guy! I wonder why she hates me? We've never even met!

In reference to the earlier post about the hotel room, my wife (a very benevolent soul) had a similar experience with her. Offered to buy her some lunch once and was met with a rather strong retort that unless she (my wife) had enough money to put her up for the night in the Drury Inn (by the mall), to (explitive witheld!).

I am very curious as to what path has led her to her current life. Is she happy with what she has and does? Of course, is anyone completely happy with 'their' lives?

Sorry to wax philosophic there...

She is well known to the law enforcement community, but she isn't really doing anything illegal while on her walkabout, so I guess they pretty much leave her be.

I've searched Facebook for her page using every kind of search words I could think of, to no success. Doe anyone know what it is, if it exists?

If not, I'm thinking I just might start one for her. After all, the cow on Mid Rivers Mall Drive has a fan page, right?

Donít think you can take any of her actions personal...including her occasional middle finger wave. We have helped her several times, once in the rain...she is truly crazy, maybe even schizophrenic. My family and I have also wondered how she ended up this way as it is evident she is old. We also looked for a F/B page on her and never found it...But regardless, here and there we stop and give her a few bucks.

I haven't seen her recently at all, it's been several months. Whether she's living in the hotel or not. Maybe she's dead and she's finally at peace. What I do know is that facebook doesn't have her page anymore. I liked the page forever ago, but no dice nowadays, it's not there anymore. But the cow's still there... That trusty loyal, nonhomeless cow...

I saw her in july, when we were having a heat wave, and she had on her coat and hat, and was sweating profusely, I tried to buy her lunch and a cool drink at long john silvers, but she wouldnt come in, even though we were just in front of the restaurant and it was air conditioned inside.

You should be thankful and feel blessed that you and your family have the means to have made the move to this area. You might even actually have a home and possibly all of your mental facilities. None of us know her circumstances and how she was brought to this point in her life. Could it be a mental illness, divorce, loss of employment? LIke I said... none of truly know. Please have some compassion. Empathy can be learned, sometimes the hard way, ei, by possibly unforseen events in your future which could put you in a similar position.
Lori you said what I wanted to say. We need to pray this woman can be made healthy and possibly a family member come to claim her. My prayer is that God smile on her today.
