The Lutheran Church is attepting to develop the land near Dauphine and the South outer road. They want to use Section 8 low income funds, and section 202 HUD funds to construct a large scale low income development. The developments they have been built in the past by this group are constructed of several three story buildings housing low incomes senior residents.. This was attempted before and was voted down by the City of Lake St. Louis. A meeting to discuss their proposal is scheduled for June 23 between 4:00 to 8:00pm. At the Lutheran church on the outer road (Civiic Center Dr.)there is expected to have several people again against such a proposal . Hope to see you there.

We will have to fight that battle again. I don't know what's wrong with the owners of that property, they just don't get it.!!!!!!!

Is it currently an empty piece of ground? If so, Boo-freaking-hoo about your property value. You purchased your property knowing that someday someone may want to build there. You took that risk.

Oh no, tell me it's not true, "Confused" is using a new moniker that used to be Carpet Guy. He's the one that claimed to live in a $750000 house in Lake St Louis when in reality he lives in a trailer in O'fallon. Everyone beware of his sinical talk and limited vocabulary, and uneducated talk.
I am definitely going against he Section 8 and 202 housing. Her is a passage from the requirements of 202 funds

up to 25 points are awarded for the applicant’s capacity to provide housing, including experience in providing housing to minorities;
• up to 13 points are awarded for the need for funding in the applicant’s target area;
• up to 45 points are awarded for the approach to providing housing, including the quality and effectiveness of the proposal, the involvement of elderly persons in designing the proposal, and the proximity and accessibility of the site to transportation and services;
• up to 5 points are awarded for the applicant’s ability to secure funding from other sources; and
• up to 12 points are awarded for development of an evaluation plan to measure performance of the project.
These are how funds are distributed.

No, I'm not carpet guy. Not in LSL. Sorry to upset your deductive reasoning and anyone who differs with you is the douche-bag carpet guy.

I am a landlord who has experience with Section 8 and the Rental Assistance Program (RAP). Both are good programs. If a landlord has complaints about a tenant, they are addressed immediately (or the tenant loses their funding)- it's a great deal for attentive landlords and their neighbors.

Wll you sounded like him in your response if you are not i am truly sorry. The news is now full of these so called Charity religious organizations seeking government funding for high cost building projects only to discover that the public had no prior knowledge of their intentions. This is merely a frontal account of he intentions of this organization that will increase the tax burden on all of he Lake St Louis reaidents due to the increase in tax supported EMS, Fire. And Police service.
