children with more than one father

[just wondering]

i was just wondering why is it that a mother would give her child the last name of one man but tell her that her father was someone else. in this certain situation that is being refered to this mother gave her child the last name of a man that was her husband at the time and allowed him to sign the birth certificate leading him to believe that he was this childs father, however once he (the guy that signed the birth certificate) found out that she was cheating on him and they divorced and her and the "supposed to be real father" got together she tells that gentalman that he is the dad, however she never told the child until she was thirteen and her and the supposed to be real father were having problems when she did tellthe child, now throughout all the court proceedings she says that the supposed to be father is the childs dad and not the one that signed the birth certificate. sounds to me like either she dosent want to be out of child support or maybe she isn't really sure who the father is. i would live to get some opions on this subject

Sounds like to me a situation that needs to be handled by the persons involved and not be discussed on this vent. That is my opinion.

That's when a man is not man enough to step up and be a father!!

This goes on all the time.And I don't think it is fair to the child to not know who the real father is.And I personally think that the girls that has a child should know who the father of the child is.

in the state of georgia, if a woman has a child in wedlock, then the child will take the husband's name even if he is not the father. If the man has a reason to doubt whether or not the child is his, he would have to take that woman to court or he should have divorced her before she had the baby.
