Moron, go to the link below and you read, if you can, quite easily, that my facts are correct. He DID NOT carry enough malpractice insurance.

Don't tell me Larry was practicing "bareback" i.e., without medical malpractice insurance. A million dollar per occurrence payout for malpractice is the usual minimum amount for a policy with an aggregate amount several times that amount. Putting the Bayshore place on the market to raise the dough, if needed, wouldn't have been that bad.

Is that the most educated comment you can make??? One, go back to school for education, two, you are not worth anyone's time to respond to for you have absolutely no insight to this man's actual practice. I do.

No, I never stated he did not carry malpractice insurance. I am stating that he carried the bare minimum required.

We pray daliy for a baby. So happy for you that it has finally happend. Wanting to get medical records from Dr. Grey, any idea how to do that?
Sorry it has taken so long to respond. No i did not have to take fertility drugs. And yes,he did have a low sperm count. We just continued to pray and as soon as I said I was giving up, I got pregnant. Please have faith. PRAYER CHANGES THINGS.

I was a patient of his you TURD and did research before and after my procedure. I'm sure you think you know somethings, but probably don't know anymore than what you are reading in the papers and this forum.

Hate to speak Ill of the dead but this guy, while exhibiting a veneer of kindness and sincerity was actually a true creep. He sexually harassed my girlfriend who worked there (purchased her a glass "toy"), constantly hit on her and embellished about his work with the DEA, later found out to be false. And the bottom line is he was so presumptuous and motivated by money that death was more appealing than losing the money he was ordered to pay. I'm not religious but if there is a heaven I doubt he's there. Forgive the brutal honesty but it is just that.

OMG, I cannot believe he killed himself! I am just now finding out 4 yrs later. My husband had a vas reversal done there and it was the worst experience we had ever been through medically. My husband was wide awake during the procedure and felt every bit of it. He was yelling out loud and I could hear him from the waiting area and it freaked me out. He only hooked up one side because "he was uncooperative during surgery". We went back a month later and Dr Grey said there was motile sperm! We decided to go to a local infertility doctor here in orlando to double check and we didn't tell them he had a vasectomy in the first place and they were surprised to find zero motile sperm! So he lied to us. When we paid $6000 for this reversal there was a guarantee that if it failed he would do a re-do for free after one year if still no pregnancy or no motile sperm. Well, we called and spoke w/the dr and he said "No,you are not a candidate for a re-do" with no other explanation. Come to find out a year later with discomfort my husband went to a urologist and the testicle on the side that dr. grey worked on has been damaged...! We are now going to a more qualified surgeon in Arizona do the surgery, he said he has had several of Dr. Grey's patients after failed reversals. Also, I can see where the comment from "tampa" is all true! The way dr. Grey looked at me when I was in the office was quite odd. i felt he was a pervert and that just confirms it. Also to have a friggen DOG in his office just feet away from a surgery room is unethical and I am surprised that AHCHA didn't shut him down. First thing I thought when i read the article an hour ago about his suicide was he probably did it because there would be many many many more patients in line to file suit.

I had a reversal performed by Dr. Grey in March 2006. When I called the office in May to ascertain the procedure for the first sperm test, I was told about the suicide. All things considered, I have no complaints.

Our first daughter was born in 2007. And our second daughter was born this last May.

I found Dr. Grey to be somewhat eccentric. I definitely found that he was much friendlier before the surgery than he was afterwards when we emailed to ask about the swelling.(The swelling was much worse than advertised, at least in my case.) His staff was friendly and professional.

In retrospect, I think vasectomy reversals are not amenable to the type of high-volume, international practice attempted by Dr. Grey. I have no doubt the man was an accomplished surgeon. But that type of procedure cannot be guaranteed. And I advise doing it close to home so that you can seek follow-up care from the surgeon who did the work. And by all means, do your homework before you go with a surgeon.

No pun intended, but it looks like this forum has run its course. I had a reversal from Dr Grey and we now have 2 awesome kids because of him. While we did have success, I would strongly caution someone thinking about the procedure to do their homework and know all of the stats on the success rates of vasectomy reversal before shelling out the cash. Looking back I hated not being able to meet the doctor prior to my appointment as we live over 1000 miles away from his then office. I found him to be very funny and knowledgeable, but I can understand completely how people found him to be eccentric, arrogant or even creepy. It appears that the good doctor didn't honor his 'guarantee' by doing too many (if any) follow up procedures. For him to take his own life rather than lose money from a lawsuit certainly says something about his character, or at least about the demons in his mind. Again, we will always be forever thankful for what he did for us, and his death is a tragedy no matter what the circumstances.

WTF..why would anyone travel all the way across the country to have a vasectomy reversal ??? I don't get it. If you had the first operation....you're an idiot. But to get it reversed YIKES.Who does this to themselves ???
