I have recently shopped in the Mount Ida location and was impressed by the appearance and the friendliness of the employees. They asked me if they could assist me in locating goods as well as carrying out my groceries. That is something that is not offered at larger grocery stores. These employees spend their work days making your grocery shopping experience more pleasant. Why would you want to lower your standards by talking negative about a place you have never been. I find Bob's Food City very competitive with larger retail chains and enjoy my grocery shopping experience with them. As far as the Hot Springs location, I have shopped there before and after it became Bob's Food City and find that it is much cleaner and offer much more than Harvest Foods did. So in closing, I ask why you don't talk more about your faults and lets see if we can find anything to complain about. Enjoy life and be happy.

shopped at harvest on rare occasions only. Last time a SUPER short guy took out my groceries. I said, "boy what a day I'VE had" and he barked, "look if you want to complain I'M NOT INTERESTED IN HEARING IT!" SO arkie.
Never returned.

I THINK BOB'S IN MT. IDA IS GREAT! It is very clean, friendly workers, always seem to be busy and the prices are reasonable considering their location. I mean, it's not like you can just run out to Wal-Mart if you run out of milk in the middle of making gravy...
Every business has to make a profit to afford to stay open. Employees don't want to work for peanuts these days and I guarantee you that the electric company won't tell them that since they did not make a profit this month, that they don't need to worry about paying that electric bill to keep the customers cool, freezers & coolers running, and the lights on. After all, it's hard enough now days on the small town businesses just to stay afloat. It takes money to make money.

I find that some of their things are pricier, but overall I can get everything i need between Bob's and the dollar stores, and spend very little more than i would at wal-mart. I actually save money when gas prices are high because it is at least 35 miles to a walmart in any direction from my home. And I have news for the loyal Wal-mart shoppers, they ain't what they used to be. Anyone that just buys everything at wal-mart these days assuming it's always the best deal is seriously getting hosed.
In addition, the guys that take out your groceries at mt. ida are great! I have no idea about the one in hot springs, I've never been to it.

I love Bobs. True the prices are a little higher, but that is to be expected in a small community. I do wish they had a wider variety of items, especially spices nd condiments, but I am a city girl and I realize that my cooking style may not be in suns with most cooks in this community. I have o go to Hot Springs to get things like Italian bread and meats and cheeses for panonis and such. Think I I'll just get domecweinersand have a hot dog instead.
