Authorities in Superior, Wis., are looking for a Rush City woman and her three sons who have been missing since Thursday.

Can't they issue an amber alert if there is a major medical issue with the mom that may cause harm to the children?

There is a major medical issue that may cause harm to the children? Sounds like an after the fact reaction. Hopefully they will be found safe and the mom just lost focus for a period of time. Why is it children that are so often put in harms way these days by their parents of all people?
