I have been alarmed that Brownberry bread was no longer available in Chapel Hill, NC. Please, please see that we get it here, too.

One day in 2006 I purchased a loaf of bread. It turned out to be the very best bread I ever ate and I am 82 yrs of age. Even more astounding my granddaughter loved it. It was Brownberry. I bought it four or five times at Albertsons in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Then one day I could not find it on the shelf. My wife and I went to six or seven markets; no Brownberry. We have been searching in vain. Where has all the Brownbread gone?

I bought a loaf of the "orignal" reciepe in Cleveland last week. Well, the loaf I got is not the same as the old Brownberry. Not as heavy, not as thick, and didn't taste the same. Even my wife, who doesn't eat it, could see that it was different just by looking at it. Looks like Arnold's still has some work to do.

I cannot believe that they have discontinued the old Brownberry Bread. I cannot find it anymore in the grocers in Fort Myers. I have tried Winn Dixie and Publix. Is any store marketing the bread here?

We really enjoyed the honey wheat bread brownberry produced. I was very popular. Everytime I stoppped at Brownberry outlet in Oconomowoc Wis. I needed to stock up when it happened to be on the shelves. When a batch was made, there would be folks in line to buy it up right away. Some were buying 10-12 loaves at a time. Apparently, they didn't produce it as often as others. Now they have stopped making it all together.
What I don't understand,if something was so popular, why have they stopped making it? We have decided to shop elsewhere with a different company altogether. You ended up loosing our business with your other products. |

we found the "retro" brownberry at Walmart in Bowling Green, Ohio. Its the same new packaging with this added:
"back by request, the original BrownBerry reecipe" I did not check all the ingredients but it tastes very good and I think it is the origial great texture and no brown caramel coloring. |

The new product is an improvement, but is clearly NOT the original despite Arnold's claim. Don't buy it until the REAL ORIGINAL recipe is restored. |

I know, I know, I suspected as much, but it is very close and still surpasses anything else out there. |

How can a reputable manufacturer stop making such a great product such as original Brownberry Bread?
I have eaten this wonderful bread for about 40 years. Arnold needs to assess it's UNFORTUNATE management decision. I live in North Carolina. |

We too were so disappointed when we could not find our 'Brownberry Natures Wheat Bread'.
We bought what we thought was 'our bread' and the label says New England Natures Wheat and it is not out Brownberry bread we had been buying for years and years. We will keep looking for it to appear on our shelves again in Central Wisconsin. |

I just received a phone call from Brownberry in response to my email inquiring where I might get Brownberry bread in the Atlanta area. I was informed they have no plans to distribute anywhere in the South. It is distributed only in Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Idaho. Only way to find out where is to search by zip code. The caller was not very helpful.

As a 1949 Oconomowoc HS grad, I have been eating the Brownberry products for 60 years. The Arnold product was definitely less-ferior, and am pleased with the re-introduction of the original product. In addition, my parents were close personal friends of Catherine Clark.
