Ocoee to halt farmers market
Ocoee will end its weekly Farmer's Market next month. The city commission voted 4-1 Tuesday night with Mayor Scott Vandergrift dissenting to halt the Friday evening, open-air market in Bill Breeze Park where residents could buy farm-fresh eggs, locally grown fruits and vegetables, and other area produce.

I like being able to buy locally grown produce and supporting local farmers. Why did the city commission vote to close the Farmers Market? This article does not provide a reason why the commission voted to close the Farmers Market.
