7 kids go to jail with felony charges over $400 worth of marijuana. What has our country come to? Some of these kids were innocent

You should go to prison for life when you kill somebody. Rape and alot of other crimes. Not 400.00 worth of pot. You can kill somebody get out in 5 yrs. the law is screwed up.
I THINK THERE WAS SOMEBODY FROM YOUR AREA THAT GOT BUSTED A FEW YEARS AGO WITH A SHIT LOUD OF DRUGS AND SHE DIDN'T SPEND ANY TIME. HAD ENOUGH TO SUPPLY CLAY COUNTY.THESE ARE TEENS WHO BARELY HAD ENOUGH TO SPLIT BETWEEN THEM.Lets be real.

Lets get real here- is anybody on here dumb enough to think that a felon should be made from any of our youth because of pot? A recent former president nationally admitted to smoking pot as a teen. You wonder why this generation of kids all look like criminals? Its because we give otherwise good kids, who are guilty of no violent crime or crime against another person, the brand of trouble maker and in this stupid state- felon. I personally started smoking pot in highschool. I continued all through college, graduating with honors and a gpa of 3.6. I continued smoking through grad school while earning my masters. I've only recently quit because my wife is expecting. At any point in those years i could have been busted and sent to jail. To JAIL. Do you think a felon graduates college with honors? Do felons go on to grad school? Probably not. My life would have completely been totally different if i would have had bad luck just once. Maybe i'm lucky but what about the kids that aren't? Think of how different each of their lives could have been. Next think of what your community could be like if all those young adults had a second chance to become successful? Our spencer could have a new generation of doctors or lawyers but We're left with factory workers and bar flies because they were branded early with a word like felon. A word usually reserved for murderers and rapists.

Window watching paranoid off the rocker completely out of touch, its people like you who sell fertilizers to help real criminals cook meth unknowingly because your local sheriff didn't warn you in time, out of touch with reality. You probably complain about taxes too, yet you would lock up everyone for minor crimes, hypocrite,
