Typical NIMBY. These fools bought houses there knowing there's already a huge shopping center in their backyard. Now they're going to complain if the stores are bigger? If you don't want to live near stores, live somewhere else.

The housing in Oceanside is highly over valued as it is, they should welcome the lower value as it should be reflected by lower property taxes. Not only because of the lower house value but because of the increase taxes on Kohls.

I grew up in Oceanside and left about 15 years ago. Upon the occasional trip back I see how developed, or should I say overdeveloped, the town has become. It is not being a Nimby for one to stand up and say, we have enough, it is called protecting your quality of life. Kohl's doesn't need to make even more millions at the wxpense of the community. Tell them no.

Fighting Serota and Kohls??? Just stick a fork in your selves...your done. Your houses are now worthless and your quality of life in Oceanside is sinking even lower...Like Kohls needs to expand? Times Square Store survived in that footprint just fine for many years...They really dont need more room to push their low grade clothing on the public.

If anyone in Oceanside needs permission to expand its McDonalds...They need room for the new Boxing Ring and the occasional cage match.

Typical yuppies crying over the threat of blocking their precious views of oil city and the beautiful greenery of a capped landfill.

i LIVE IN OCEANSIDE...THESE PEOPLE BOUGHT THEIR HOUSES KNOWING THEY WERE NEAR A SHOPPING CENTER...AND THE NOISE FROM THE PARKING SHOULD BE MORE OF A PAIN NOW ...THAN A BUILDING...THAT AREA IS GETTING A LITTLE NASTY OVER THERE...SO I WOULD THINK THE RESIDENTS WOULD ENCOURAGE SOME IMPROVEMENT...ALSO A BIGGER STORE WOULD BRING MORE REVENUE TO OUR SCHOOLS...WE ALL HAVE TO MAKE SACRIFICES.....I MADE ONE FOR 30 YEARS LIVING ON ONE OF THE BUSIEST STREETS IN OCEANSIDE...I KNEW IT WHEN I BOUGHT THE HOUSE....AND THESE PEOPLE KNEW IT TOO...BUYING PROPERTY BY A SHOPPING CENTER..THAT WAS ALREADY ESTABLISHED..THE DUMPS, OIL CITY...COME ON...YOU KNEW SOMETHING WOULD HAVE TO GIVE SOMETIME...WE ALL DO WHEN WE BUY PROPERTY...

Everywhere you go there is a store. They are not such a pretty sight. Walmarts ect. Every community should fight to keep these stores out. They attract the wrong kind of crowds and make neighborhoods look so sloppy.America is getting ugly with all the stores.

I remember when Mel Weitz owned the Foodtown in the Sands mall. What a delight. Then Mr. Weitz sold and in came Edwards Supermarket. Next thing you know there is a Gap Store smack in the parking lot. Then Gap wanted more room and expanded practically to the street (there is no sidewalk). Now driving out of that mall is a hassle because a car has to stick out all the way to the street in order to see if there is any traffic coming. No more crap like this. FIGHT KOHL'S GREEDY OVER EXPANSION!

I say bulldoze the entire community, expand Kohls, and put high density housing where the old houses used to be. That will shut them up...

What noise? Are they blowing off firecrackers in the parking lot? Is music playing late into the night?

Are these people afraid that their view of the dump will be obstructed? All it is is garbage with spray-on lawn on top of it. That shopping center was there way before those condos were erected. This should be no surprise to these residents.

Oceanside is filled with a bunch of low life losers. Did you ever see the kids at the middle school? They're either mini mafia thugs or jewish mafia wannabees. The residents should worry more about the kids than what they're griping about now.

this is ridiculous. most of the people buying the adjacent homes KNEW that there was a major store there. TSS was there for decades without any problems.

This isnt a disco or a nightclub or a 24 hr supermarket, gas station or 7-11. Yes there will be trucks making deliveries but thats about it.

There are far more important things that the area needs to be concerned about than kohls- how about the problems caused by oil city and the now-closed dump, for starters?
