Lesbian Client Denied Infertility Treatment by Christian Fundamentalist Doctors Settles Case

An Oceanside lesbian whose doctors denied her infertility treatment based on her sexual orientation has reached a settlement with her former physicians in her historic lawsuit against them.

I am a Christian but I believe what those doctors did was wrong. If you are unable to perform your sworn duties because of your personal beliefs, you should find another career. Being a medical professional of any kind means you give each patient the very best care regardless of whether you agree with their beliefs or not.

sound like we are back in the middle-age . Doctors suppose to be a smarter elite , but the religion makes some of them blind . Some ignorant people make me think we are going backwards . There is to much brain-washing from a lot of churches trying to ignore science and to many people just believing everything a Pastor said . We should be more tolerant with people with different point of view and taste .

If your job is to care for the physical well-being of someone, and you refuse to do that job because of your beliefs, you should choose a different career where you aren't conflicted. How about if paramedics were to say "we won't treat this person because he's << insert minority here >>"?

Wrong... I always like seeing the assumptions people post on here. I'm American, thank you very much, and Canada is a great place to live this last year because people here understand that we all have an obligation to each other. Noone is an island.

I work very hard, make loads of money, never smoke pot, and feel religion is absolutely allowed to do whatever it likes to do. Unless it hurts others in society that are entitled to the same protections granted religion.

I disagree, you should be able to maintain your Christian beliefs or any other beliefs no matter what job you have. This lezbo could have easily gone to another doctor to have her stuff done, which is unethical, really.
