I don't understand why Animal Control will not come.??? Have they given you a reason why not? There must be something you can do.

I wonder what would happen if a resident of your neighbor shot the dog since AC is not assisting. Anyone know what the rights of the residents are?

This doesn't make any sense.

As I mentioned on another thread re an attack, please contact your local news. Something should be done and it seems no one is sure what to do. Start a fire under their feet.

:"I work in an ER for animals, dogs and cats are more likely to be killed by their owners and neighbors cars than a coyote. Yes, it is tragic to loss a beloved pet in any fashion, the odds of a coyote attack are severly less than your pet being attacked by a neighbors dog or hit in the street. Unfortunately the news does not report that "Fido" was killed by a large SUV driving out of the driveway, while the owner was stading there talking to his neighbor. I am sorry for the loss of the dog, but all types of accidents happen, natural or

If people are worries about their domesticated animals, maybe they should keep them inside. Pets do not live very long in this part of the country if they arn't large, or able to protect themselves. I understand people are upset about this wild animal eating their pet, however, thats no reason to waste money on a trapper. We destroy their habitats, so they run our streets.

Just because it rarely happens doesn't mean they shouldn't do anything about it. This coyote is behaving unusual and very well could have rabies. if nothing is done it could go after child or person.
