I think the state of WV needs to pass a law against the killing of ANY albino animal, especially deer. A white deer or other albino animal's are rare and should be kept alive, but you can always bet there will be some a$$hole that thinks they are being big pete by killing one. Anything that is different people wanna get rid of it. I think it is WAY past time for this state to pass a law that prohibits the killing of albino animals. Any idiot caught killing one should face a stiff fine/jail time!!

The cause of an albino animal is a genetic defect. These genes need to be removed from the gene pool as soon as possible. By doing this, people are actually doing the species a favor by removing one of these animals that would further contaminate the genetics of their given species.

I disagree. Albino animals are naturally removed from the gene pool because being albino leaves any animal at a great disadvantage for survival. It would be in the albino's best interest to be captured and protected by humans, also preventing it from contaminating the genetics of it's species. However, albinos are much more likely to be hunted down by animals than by humans; humans should respect the rare beauty of the thing and at least allow it to live out it's unique life naturally.

I'm curious if an albino deer would taste the same. Hmm.
