maybe so checked. but if you give that employee a huge raise and lateer bring it before the public servuce commission because you r busted. then they might approve it. town says they need it. was this emplyee payed out of any WATER money or SEWAGE money that comes in? town emplyees say oh yeah. that means the water money would dry up right. right? probably. maybe. who knows with the town books. then the council would cry and say we need money. they go to the public service commisun. raise rates. i already heard from employees that the town has a cash flow problem. whether it is true i dont know. why vote a 10,000 dollar raise for one emplyee? stupid is why..

this just in. this town employee told me that jim cook, manning and roach met in the maqyor office with this employee and asked him what he wanted to keep him. that meeting according to wv ethics is a illegul unlawful meeting. cook took notes i heard from this employee and then presented it to the council. i dont know if it is true. ask cook. he,manning, roach, whishnut, were ok for giving him a big raise to keep him and fleshman and womack votd no way. you people need to wake up and see how this town is run. i voted for cook and whisnut.cook i voted because he fooled me with the beckly paper sh8t story about being miletary wanted to better the town and in the end he is just like the most of them.down at city hall playin politics and actin important.he aint the only one. check on it folks to yur homework and check on it. dont take my word for it. check on it yurself.

checked the facts and found that any rate increase must have the approval of the public service commission which wouldn't allow a rate increase to pay someone a higher salary. guess you be wrong.
you my friend are an idiot if he was to be given a raise who was going to pay it? They are having trouble paying bills already

he told me he wasnt there but he would not have supported the raise unless everyone was given one and if the town could afford to do it but it cant do it with no money

he went yes dont know why you people keep putting whiz and roach back in there ur gonna pay for it they are both good guys but not worth a squat as concil and mayor. We have some new guys in there trying hard to straighten things up we need to give them a hand and add a new mayor and a couple more new council members. Watch the newspaper the ethics commission is going to take action against the previous town council very soon

Those town employees should be working, and quit gossiping about what goes on at city hall. I'm not sure why the employees do that, I guess to make themselves seem important.

whatever.u must be related to those idiots. hey u ask the employees there at city hall yurself. they knew the next day what came down.i was not there. but it should be public record. call n ask each guy on the council how they voted. call um up georgio. the mayor broke the tie i heard and voted for the raise.anybody reading this can call him and ask him yurself. dont go by what i say. check the facts yurself. ask manning what side he was on n if he voted then see who is full of sh3t. town employees r there evryday and they see all. ask um how often they see roach. askum yurself. but dont say im full of it. check the facts people yurself.

Sounds like I should start going to town council meetings instead of whining about it on Topix. A $200 a week raise? Here I come!
