....way back when the Anderson brothers were thought of as kooks who rode their bike around town. Nobody liked them. Then all of a sudden when they bring $ in to the area they're the focus of the entire downtown arts focus.

People used to laugh about them & now they treat them like the town founders. Hilarious.

Anyway I hope to be there I hope they have some good booths this year.

When you speak of the bike riding, I really wonder- since I have lived here there have been two people I remember greatly but did not know, there used to be a last who drove a white truck that was tagge with graffiti most if it about anti military government <-- I think at least she had a dog, have not seen the truck in forever I figure she moved on.

But there is a gentleman that dresses shall I say very oddly for the times? He rides a large bike all throughout ocean springs I am told he is a member of the Anderson famy, is he? I see him often rummaging through a certain dumpster- spoke to him a time or two nice gentleman and didn't want anything at all despite he seemed to be rummaging for food items. I'm not necessarily a local so all I know is what I'm told or learn, I hear he is wealthy and not homeless at all- anyone know anything about it?

I *think* I know who you are talking about. He dresses like a hippie? I was told his name is Chris. From what I've seen he's a pretty nice guy. He doesn't bother anybody & tries to mind his own business. I've also heard the rumors he's secretly wealthy. That's the first I've heard he's an Anderson though. Mental illness seems to run in their family so he could be one of them.

But yeah, I give him his space. I've never sensed he's dangerous or anything, just a bit flaky. He was polite to me when I spoke to him a few years ago. He hangs out @ the library a lot & rides his bike over to Gautier & to even Biloxi sometimes.

I just figured he was one of these hippies who believes in "saving" & "recycling" & so looks for junk in dumpsters to save & turn into antiques or something. I dunno. Lol, for all I know he lives in a big house on the beach. Yeah he's a nice guy though, I just don't talk to him because I figure there's something off upstairs.

Also -- I remember the thread on here a few years ago about that woman with the dog & the minivan(?) or truck that had crap written all over it. Who knows, maybe she found a job somewhere & moved into a house. I remember some of the ppl on here were kinda weirded out by here. I never met though so I didn't know how she was.

Yeah that lady from my understanding was homeless- but didn't seem to bother any one. I hear the bicycle genlltleman was rich because he was an Anderson, ride a bike something about being traumatized in a car wreck years ago? Who knows to me it's all speculation I just heard the "rumor" forever and figured since I saw a thread semi about it I would put the information request out there wondering if anyone had any truth I am not native to the coast so I would know the least I'm sure.

There was a time when a man driving a car would have been the talk of the town. Now, it's the man on a bike. Some of us may consider him to be "off a little upstairs." I think that's an odd assumption. He's incredibly fit-looking, as well as at peace with the world. He has a routine that he follows. He doesn't bother anyone else. Seems to me, he's not so "off upstairs." He's figured out how to live the lifestyle that makes him happy. We could all learn a lesson or two from him in that respect.:)
