In that area of Rt. 70, the road goes from two lanes to one lane. There are a few homes set back in that area. Just before the accident location where Joanne was struck, there are several stores in walking location as well as Wendy's and Rite Aid on the other side of the road. Just beyond the accident scene, is the child care center and other residential buildings and a new commercial busines being erected. It would be beneficial for the town of Toms River or the County of Ocean, to put in curbing and sidewalks for the safety of bikers and walkers who enjoy walking instead of driving. Wishing Joanne a speedy recovery and prayers are with her and her family.
