Review: R I Cafe

I stopped by to have lunch here one afternoon. While the food was not completely terrible, it was only marginal at best. My complaint is the surly and rude service I received there. I ordered the Gen. Tso's chicken, as I usually do, as well as an order of szechuan wontons. I wanted the wontons to be fried instead of steamed and the waitress/owner told me there would be no problem to have this done. When I got the wontons, they were mostly all burned on one side. Furthermore, all the sides that were burned were facing down, deceptively hidden out of view. Out of consideration, I tried to eat one thinking that it would not taste as bad as I suspected. I was wrong. They were bitter and burned and inedible. When I tried to tell the owner this, she defiantly reassured me that they were supposed to be fried in that manner and that there was nothing else she could do. To add insult to injury, this waitress/owner began fluttering about the restaurant in anger and exasperation (presumably angry to have been caught) to the point where I felt uncomfortable, asked for a doggy bag, and left. I will not be returning nor will I recommend this establishment.
