Yacht Club Restaurant

We ate at the Yacht Club Restaurant last night. Simply put the food was terrible. You can demolish a building and replace it, but if you cannot produce a good meal then you are wasting your time. The Chicken Cheasepeak was just gross. Cold, topped with crab imperial (crab imperial is not a menued item, but crab dip is) and topped with what seemed like condensed cream of chicken soup. The dish did not appear baked. The crab imperial, crab dip should have been browned. The dish in my view was a poached chicken breat, topped with crab dip, microwaved and topped with condensed soup. After a new building, would they top it with cheese too?? The snow crab legs were good, the seafood pasta, looked blah. The tomato soup was bland and tasted like watered down pasta sauce. The carrot soup was delicious. The Maryland Crab was also typical, nothing special.
I come from restaurant background and I was very dissapointed with the meal we got, for the price paid.
Fellow residents we should have put the 4 million dollars into something else other than the yacht club. A few hundred thousand for a new kitchen and a consultant to train the cooks. I seriously doubt a "chef" is on board unless it is a can of Chef Boyardee! If the same quality and type of food is produced there, we will end up with a 4 million dollar bar

we have eaten at the yacht club many times and most of the time we are dissappointed with the food or the service. because we live in OP we keep hoping for better food or service but are usually disappointed. before opening the new yacht club, the management should decide what type of facility it should. A noisy, happy hour place with sports on TV and music blaring or a pleasant dining experience in an upbeat dining facility where people can enjoy a moderately priced meal and talk to their neighbors. maybe 2 separate areas would be possible? Breakfasts are always tasty but the breakfast staff is poorly trained and have forced us to eat elsewhere even though we live at Marina Village. PLEASE improve your facility so that the new construction will meet our dining needs.
