Outraged Citizen

I had been incorrectly cited for a traffic violation in Belleview, so I appealed. I had photographic proof that proved I was wrongly cited, and Chris Polak (Hearing Officer) didn't even look at the photos, and denied my appeal. This added more fines to my charge.
Then to make matters worse, I had submitted a request for an extension since I had been off from work for 3 months without pay from an accident, and he denied that as well.
Adding even more fines to my charge now I am going to have my license suspended, my insurance cancelled, and my car repossesed.
This crooked heartless jerk has no place judging a taste test let alone the fate of Marion County's Citizens. He truly a sorry excuse for a human being!
ugh ouch

So sorry this happened to you!

You must be new to Belleview, as bogus tickets - and, they know you'll fight back, making them more money, which is the point - that's been going on there, since forever. Anybody that's been there a while knows to just pay the ticket and move on because they will ALWAYS win whether is less $ such as the first fine, or more money such as happened to you because you fought their corruption.

Happened to me 18 yrs ago, and that's exactly what I was told by long time residents when I was new, and took a fit about a speeding ticket that NO WAY was I doing 60 in a 30 as I hadn't even the chance to get into 2nd gear let alone UP to 30 mph yet, as I had only just turned the corner! Yep. NASTY.

I feel your pain, even after all these years!

one day this judge will have his day to be judged not by our law but by gods.

There are no gods, unless you mean those four righteous dudes
on motorcycles. Hell yes. And the person standing next to him.

The idea of "one day" never comes! The teaching that god will judge them was contrived so that peasants wouldn't rise up and demand justice. Use the system that we have to file grievances, hire lawyers and stand up for yourself; it really does make the world a better place.

This is very true about Polack and acting as "court officer"in bogus kangaroo court in marion county. Same thing happened to me today. I spent 3 days printing 8x10 glossy pics, gathering all evidense about speed ticket that I had taken at scene beacuse I knew I was not speeding, and could of easly proven how the trooper made many false statements in court. I asked several times for the Judge to see photos and maps, and he would not! Totally refused to let me present my case evidense or cross examine the trooper with questions I had prepared. He did not even make the Trooper show his radar evidense(which was bogus) or entitle me to see... Polack used to work along side of all these local cops and prosecuters and seemed very bias and impartial to defendants. I do not know how the US justice dept has not invervened in this corrupt court.

Um... Just because you all didn't win, doesn't mean its Polak's fault. I've seen him throw out numerous citations, even some that were admitted to by the defendants. A guy got a ticket for no seat belt, went to court and admitted to it, giving only the excuse that he "had to pick up some spilled food on the ground". Polak said he felt it was a good defense and threw the ticket out. Another guy didn't even show up to court to contest the ticket he got for speeding. The officer said the speed limit was 30 mph and testified that he (the officer) was going over 60 to catch the guy speeding but he was pulling away from the officer. Polak threw that ticket out because the officer didn't get an absolute speed. These are just a few I've seen in his courtroom. Sorry you all had bad luck. Keep trying, maybe you'll get one thrown out eventually... or just drive right.

Video recorders are cheap at the truck stop and will hold up in court. Get the attorney general involved....then sue....
