Was wondering if anyone had old pics from when the school was there? Would like to know if anyone would be interested in trying to organize a reunion of some sort.

I'm still trying to find out the coaches name (or the P.E. teacher...I can't remember exactly which he was) that taught at Obion school in the early 80's. His last name was Tidwell I do believe.

the high school was not there in the eighties the older smaller building was long ago made into a building that housed Kindergarten.....The high school was long gone in the eighties. Obion County Central replaced that in 1968.

I would be interested in having a get together. I wish I could find someone with pics of the school. I remember going thru it before they tore it down and finding a roll of pics with me and some of my classmates on it. I still have them.

I'm confused I guess. I know I went to school there in the first grade, a brick school in Obion, and that would've been the year 1984-85 I believe. I am just trying to find out what happened to some of the teachers I remember. I know one that passed away several years ago, and I remember the P.E. teacher. I thought his last name was Tidwell. I guess I'm wrong.

Those are the people that were there when I was in the early eighties. I entered OCCHS in 1984. I played bball under Coach Carol Little from 1980-1983. The boys coach was Roger Tanner. There was no one there named Tidwell at that time. The principal was Billy Joe Roney. There was a man there last name Hauser that came my eighth grade year in 1983. He taught science, don't remember if he helped coach or not.

I'm not talking about the high school. I'm wondering about the p.e. teacher from the elementary school.

That is who I am referring to. Coach Carol Little coached 6,7,8th grade b ball and taught english in those grades. Roger Tanner coached boys b ball in 6,7, 8th grade and taught Math. This was in the early eighties. 1980-1983. There was no guy teachers in any of the earlier grades 1st-5th grade at Obion Elem. during this time frame or the whole time I attended that school from 1974-1983. I went there from Kindergarten to 8th grade. My Kindergarten year and a couple of years after that the principal was Mr. Lester Betty whom I lived across from in the town of Obion. Obion Jr. High 6th - 8th grade had the coaches and teachers that I listed above..... Roger Tanner, Coach Carol Little, Principal=Billy Joe Roney and there was a man named Bobby Hauser that came in 1983 that taught Jr. High 8th grade Science and might have helped coach Jr. High ball as well. I grew up in Obion and my Parents have lived there for 50 years I know this town very well, grew up there, and went to school there all my elem. and Jr. High year...

The only pe teacher per say was the actual coaches. IF you didn't cheer or play ball there was not an actual pe class per say.... Most of the others that didn't participate in sports were in study hall that was usually held in the cafeteria.

Hmmm..well I don't know who I am thinking of then! No, I definitely didn't play sports..I was only in the first grade. This man was a tall and skinny man with very wide eyes. This would've been in 1985 I believe. I wish there were some records or old annuals I could look at.:(
