Whenever I see dog owners that treat their animals like children I wonder what in the heck is wrong with them. They obviously are lacking friends and a little bit of sanity. It's insulting to those of us that have children.
your child that's running around like a freaking idiot is insulting!.. i see more children that don't behave well more then i see dogs misbehaving.

Dogs are just as dependent on their owners as children are. they require just as much love and attendion, maybe even more. And yes, my pooch goes to the park, car rides and to gets ice cream with me... and trust me i have tons of friends, a great career and am not on any sort of insanity meds... In fact ppl who have animal are clinically proven to live longer... clearly you are the one with problems if you are so insensivity to such a loving creature.

sure there are aggressive dogs.. but its bc their owners have failed to raise them right.. kind of like the kids running around killing each other.. their parents have failed them..

For anyone that is interested, the Cleveland area media had a lot more informatin on this incident.
The father and son lived on 9 acres that was fenced and the dogs were mostly strays and rescues. They took them in and tried to find homes for them. They were all licensed and the Vet that had to come out and put the dogs down said they were all in "mint condition" Most had been spayed or neutered. They neighbors said they had never seen them agressive, and that Michael would play with them in the yard and take them for walks on the property.
A friend or family member (I can't remember now which one) posted thaet they wondered if maybe Michael had a seizure. This may have been taken a agression by the dogs. They will probably never know for sure what really happened, but it is sad to know that he lost his life trying to help the dogs.

I have 9 dogs, they range from 2 great danes 5 - 60 pound dogs and 2 tiny chihuahuas. I have took the time to train each one of my dogs and they all live inside my house, they are not outside dogs. My dogs are fixed and UTD on their shots, we walk them and keep control of our animals at all times. One family can own 9 dogs but you have to take the time to train them right. When someone knocks at my door they do not go crazy barking and when some one passes my fence they do not go crazy, most of the time they don't even bark.

You said it so well. I hope BPSeaPee & JRW can comprehend this. Dogs & kids are a product of their parents/owners. It's sad to say though, today, more & more dogs (pets) are getting more love/attention/training than kids.
