This place is terrible!! I am currently unemployed so money is EXTREMELY tight. I took 2 truck loads to this shop and notified them on 4 occassions what I would like to do with the goods. They work with a group that does missionary work in the Appalachian area. The owner had mentioned that less than 1% of their goods are donations, that they purchase from others. So, I told them that if they wanted to sell something, they could buy it from me. I explained my financial situation 4 TIMES!!! Then I told them that if they wanted something as a donation, I needed a receipt. Lastly, if there were items they could not use or did not want, to please send to the Appalachian Group and that I would need a receipt for those goods. Well, long story short, the employees did not communicate with the manager and the first truckload of items I took could not be accounted for. I was told by the owner to "Try to remember what I brought and add it to the list from the Appalachian Fund." She said that anything she knew of was donated to them.....Fine, however, I walked around the store and she has MY stuff for SALE and I have NO Receipt for those things!! She is making a buck off of my stuff, but I am out approx.$500 for all of my items. This place is not fair and their employee's have ruined my experience with this company. I will tell EVERYONE I know to take their items to Goodwill or Salvation army. At least they will give you credit for all you took! Stay away from this store or they will do it to you too!! They should make you sign a waiver that everything is a donation only! I wouldn't be upset that it was all a donation if I hadn't explained it at least 4 different times and each time, they act like they have no recollection of the last conversation. On 4 occassions, each time my name, and phone number were taken and mysteriously, each one was misplaced. I don't look to get my money...but they way they treated me was not fair nor ethical. I wonder if people have morals anymore.

I was brought to this site because I wanted the Touched by Grace address to give to a friend. I came upon this nasty review. Wow! There must be two Touched By Grace Shops. The one I have been going to for years is nothing like the one reported by 'Very Dissatisfied'. The whole thing must be a giant misunderstanding Whenever I walk through the door of this shop, I feel as if I have been transformed into a magical fairyland. It is not only a fun experience to shop there, it is a spiritual one. You can tell that these ladies truly care about people. They are always trying to help the community in any way that they can. Whenever any of my friends or family visit, I make it part of their visit to go to Touched by Grace. You can see that they work very hard at trying to please their customers. I am shocked that anyone would portray this shop in such a negative way.

Whenever I visit my family in Ohio the first place we must go to is always Touched by Grace. I love it and the people who run it. The vignettes are so artfully set up with all of their antiques and one of a kind items in color and category coordinated settings. The prices are great and I bet if you can't find that special thing you have been looking for here you won't find it anywhere! I always go away with some goodies I didn't even know I wanted and others I was really looking for and I could not find anywhere else. These exciting visits I will never forget and look forward to my next visit from Connecticut.
