At least she is safe.... Sure sounds like she may have some mental issues going on or maybe suffering from some abuse. A person never knows what goes on behind closed doors. Hopefully this woman can get some help and get her life back on track

So, why isn't the government billing these crazy women for all of the money that was wasted looking for them? If you want to leave your husband, kids, job, etc., then have some guts and say something. Don't walk out making it look like a kidnapping to hide what a coward you are.

You never know what someone else is going through. Could be mental issues, depression, stress, abusive spouse... any number of things. Glad that she is safe though. And I hope she gets whatever kind of help she needs.

There is always the possibility a person could be trying to escape and get away from an abusive spouse or could be seriously mentally ill. Since we don't know her reasoning yet, don't jump to judgement.

Really, the mother seemed to have known what was going on. Why not bill them for the wasted man hours spent looking for her. Or charge her for misleading police. Now when a woman is actually missing the police might just drag their feet a little on the investigation, thinking it's just another wayword wife. Sort of like the boy who cried wolf.

Until you've walked a mile in her shoes, don't criticize.

The police searched for her because that is what the police do when someone appears to be missing. Not everyone is in a position to announce an unexpected departure ... for a variety of reasons. Nor should they have to.

The lady apparently needed some space and was dealing with several past or current personal issues. Most importantly, she is safe.

What about those much needed tax dollars that were wasted because this adult professional just had to leave her home to get some space??? Ever try being honest with your spouse??? She could have handled it in a much better way if she needed that kind of space. But then again it's hard to be honest when she wasn't with the right person.

Very strange...sounds like she's got some sort of mental illness going on. If you saw her husband on TV, he looked and sounded like he really was clueless. Hope she gets the help she needs.

So nice to see the compassion. But let's switch genders and say the husband picks up and leaves town under the same circumstances. It would turn into a serious witch hunt against the husband and he would probably be charged with a whole list of offenses.

This is why I don't get too excited about people (adults) missing.[Remember the runaway to Florida not too long ago].

Geez...just leave a quick note telling people you need to get away for awhile. And you'll call in a few days. Big deal.

Very large group, actually. Given the maturity and sophistication shown in his post I'd assume he can't afford to have high standards.

Just makes it very difficult for legitimate missing adults to be taken seriously in the first few hours when time is so critical. If charged with a crime, she could be questioned to ascertain if she needs mental health help or if she just wants a change of life.
