We want Johhny Rowland Back as Governor. Jodi Rell is "Culture of Corruption". Rowland knew how to manage the state. Rell is a fair weather Governor.

Rowland's expense accounts should be audited. Is he using a City of Waterbury Credit Card or a Chamber of Commerce Credit card..If he is back to his old ways, he is using it for personal use...All in all it is Taxpayer Money. We want to know where he has been and what "work" he does..He was caught before using Stae Republica Credit Card for personal use....The FBI & IRS should be watching Waterbury, Rowland and Mayor Jarjura's real estate deals. Federal Funds are involved.

It looks like Rowland is back to his old tricks. How this crook ever got the job he has is a mystry, it could only happen in Waterbury. Now he is a turncoat, turning against his party. What a shame they ever let him out of jail.

I thought Rowland found God in his one year in prison? You would think the death of Rowlands Step-Son would also make Rowland be a better man but I guess Rowland and his wife are just two bitter aging Alcoholics.

John Rowland blew it. He threw away his career and public trust for what, a hot tub?

Shame on him to bring down this rising star.

Not only did Capiello turn on Former Governor Rowland he also turned on Lou Deluca. Good luck Dave because you seemed to make the Waterbury very angry. Most of the state just does not understand us and therefore always underestimates us. John Rowland can walk on water as far as waterbury is concerned. Jodi Rell will go down and the most inept governor in modern time and just look to her chief of staff Lisa Moody for the ethical BS.

Rowland is supporting Murphy because Murphy (1) is going to win, big time, and (2) he needs Murphy if he is ever to save Waterbury from its continuing decline.

Murphy should stay far away from Rowland. He's toxic.

I find Mr. Rowland's alleged actions in this matter to be so petty.

No wonder why he is a felon.

I believe that any reasonable voter, at this point in time, would stay away from a candidate that Mr. Rowland supports.

As for Mr. Cappiella, a legislator who knows the difference between and right wrong, deserves the public trust and should be elected.

Typical childish and vengeful behavior from Rowlands cronies. These people play such personal and vindictive politics and it never ends with them. They must understand it was their behavior that hurt the party. All David did was try to save the integrity of the party Rowland almost ruined. Rowlands friends, his old henchmen, his old mistresses and lobbyists all behave this way to this day. And they do it wherever they are! It's pathological behavior and apparently his time in jail did nothing to cure their illnesses. And why is Murphy swimming in the sewer here? Is he so afraid of Cappiello that he must make a deal with these creeps? And these creeps would rather keep screwball Murphy in office than restore integrity to the party they disgraced? They all belong together.

Will the Courant now treat Murphy the same way they treated Rowland? I doubt it. As long as Murphy has a D next to his name, the Courant will endorse him. If Cappiello was getting Rowland's support, the Courant would say Cappiello was corrupt. But if a Democrat gets Rowland's support, the Courant does not care.

When will the Courant run the story on Murphy's love child with a TV reporter? This is pretty well known, but no one will report on it.

So "Murphy met with Rowland" and now they "are on the side". Moreover, Rowland is raising funds for Murphy's campaign. There is an old saying that: He who lies down with dogs, wakes up with flees. That old adage appears to aptly describe Rep. Murphy's actions. This new secret alliance reveals Murphy to be yet another smooth-talking, empty shirt politician who will go to any lengths to get reelected.

Gee, good job Jon. How is it your investigative skills are always directed at Republicans? If true, I'm very disapponted in Rowland. Republicans did abandon Rowland, but to support that empty suit Murphy is a disgrace. But Jon, imagine the four part series you could write on Dudd, Countrywide, Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac all all those political contributions to all those Dem political hacks, including Obama. Not to mention Dudd being AWOL for an entire year while Rome burned. Don't you think this is a much bigger and better story? Does the Courant keep you on such a short leash? Is that your excuse for your silence?

Well Mario, you stumbled onto the real hypocrisy here. Rowland went to federal prison over a hot tub and some plane tickets, which the feds inflated in value to get Rowland's crime up to $100,000. Dudd's Countrywide deal is over $75,000, throw in the political contributions from Fannie & Freddie to a hack pol who got one delegate vote for a year's worth of campaigning and you see how the Courant has covered for Dudd but went after Rowland with a vengence. Jon Lender had the serial # of the hot tub, but can't seem to get around to writing about that Countrywide loan or those political contributions to Dudd by Fannie & Freddie, not to mention these congressional entities going bankrupt, costing taxpayers BILLIONS. Think the Courant and Lender have a political agenda here? The greatest story not told by the Courant and Lender.

Let's hope someone's investigating whether Mr. Rowland sent any of his emails or conducted business for Mr. Murphy on Waterbury City work time.

Excellent post, the Courant will never tell the whole story about anything. As far as Rowland is concerned his real crime was that he was a panhandler.
