The victim was RYAN PEPE , Frank is his father! RIP Pep!!
16 years is not enough for taking a life, regardless of Lee's 6 years service in the service!

Justice will never be served when there is a murder..And this murderer getting only 16 years for taking another's life will never be closure for the the victims family either..Plea bargaining should never have happened. A murder is a murder is a murder..!

I hope you never have to lose someone in your family to murder or any other terrible crime and watch the perp go for a "plea bargain" and get less time than a bank robber...But of course you would really have to go thru the process to know how one feels about plea bargaining

This Lee character is a nut and he will most likely kill again. I pray that they don't lesson the sentence!

"It was an unfortunate incident," Minnella said later. "Certainly, the state's attorney has been enormously fair in this case, and I think it is the appropriate disposition. At the sentencing all the good my client has done will come out, including the six years he spent in the Air Force.

"It was an unfortunate incident" Minnella said later. You have got to be kidding me? Unfortunate. That's the best you can do? Ryan's family deserves more than this Attorney stating that it was an unfortunate incident. With regards to all the good his client has done? Please. Tell me Attorney Minella what good could he have done in his life to even consider a lesser sentence than the maximum of 16 years. A person that does "good" does not carry a knife in his truck. A person that does "good" does not cause harm to another human being. A person that does "good" does not attack and murder someone. What "good" has Lee Grenier done to lessen any time he does in jail? There is not enough "good" that he can have ever done in his life to make up for what he did.

This was no tragedy, this was a senseless, jealousy induced MURDER. Ryan had great prospects for a productive and happy life ahead of him.

There are many more Victims here tham meets the eye. It has devestated the Pepe Family and it has devestated Frank.
A little boy now must grow up without a father and, a Father must grow old without his son.
It has devestated Ryans Mother and the other side of his Family as well.

Additionally, we must think of Lee's family also.

The one person we DO NOT need to be concerned about is Lee.
I hope that God has NO mercy on his Soul.

Alright, prepare to have your feathers ruffled. Here is my conspiracy therory. This crazy chick was so obviously setting Lee up to get his ass kicked. She called Lee multiple times that night and begged him to come over. Hmmm, see where this might be going. I think this guy got more than he bargained for when he tried to jump Lee. Lee's cripled ass can't fight. One good blow to his back and he will be paralized. I think he pulled the knife to defend himself, and well...we all know how the story ends. If CT didn't have such BS self defense laws, my guess is he would have walked, expecially with no credible witnesses. Anyway, I have followed this case very closley and this is just my theory. My prayers are with both families.

to update you on this case. the guy who killed them was convicted but he is trying to plead that he was temporarily insane due to hepatitis C. What a crock of shit. This guy had not one ounce of remorse in the courtroom. He also tried to set his own mother on fire.
