Unsightly problem: Snow melt, flooding unmasks litter

With all of the snow finally melted, debris and unsightly litter is becoming visible across our otherwise majestic mountains and valleys.

I've noticed all the trash everywhere since it flooded, too. Litter is just inexcusable. How freaking hard is it to throw something in a TRASH CAN? I swear I was behind this couple once and I saw the passenger side window roll down and she threw out an entire pizza box. Still had pizza in it and all - just threw it out the window. I wanted to stop and get it, catch up to them, and stuff it down her gullet. Why can't people just put trash in the trash cans where they belong?? It's not Mother Nature's job to clean up after their ignorant asses!

So why DIDN'T you stop and throw it away? What did you think was going to happen? The Topix Trash Fairy was gonna go get that pizza box since you think you're too good to pick it up?

Some of us pick up our fair share of other peoples litter when we see it. Feel free to join in the effort. It's called DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT and it works a lot better than CRYING TO PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET.
