Hi Norskejente! I just saw this, I had taken a break for most of May. Thanks for the comment. They are wonderful dogs to know and love.

The story you posted was truly heart wrenching. Poor pup - how horrible. To think that the man who did that also has two children makes me fear for them, too. He served jail time and is banned for life from having pets, but it does not seem like enough. Still, some get away with barely a slap on the wrist for their abuse.

Hi TrilbyKat, Good for you on taking a break:) The problems with crimes and criminals is that the punishment is never enough. We need tougher laws and tougher penalties so we can deter this crimes from happening. Think if murder was life or the death penalty could it possibly mean fewer killings. To assult another person or animal on a felony charge should be at least 25 yrs. Yea some may think it's to harsh but I bet the victims themselves would agree. Crimes against humans or animals should never ever be acceptable. Well I'm glad you're back and I'll be meeting up with you somewhere soon:)
