Do we have the names of these doctors? I would like to find that info out because I was almost killed last year by a doctor in Walker Co that overdosed me on medication.

I would like to know more information before I put the name of my doctor because of litigation issues with them. Do you know the names of any that got in trouble?

the secrecy needs to stop. the public has the right to know who these doctors are. if they were not going to release any of the names then i would rather them to keep all of the info.

Why do we blame every thing on some one else the doctor did not force those pills down anybody throat most of the patients that go to the doctor no what there doing----The doctor wrights u the pills and tells you how to take them if you feel you dont want them dont take them talk to them about it I just dont think the Doctor will wright you some pills and tell you to take 20 of them at one time sorry i feel this way but its time for people to take responsibiliy for there self

You know we could place blame on the person because they are going to get the drugs some place but listen to this. A friend of mine has a close friend dying of cancer. Hospice is giving her the meds she needs. Then she is going to a doctor in B'ham and getting 600 methadones, 300 dalidas, 300 Norcos. I can't spell these medications. When the friend went with the friend to the doctor she told him she was on Hopice. Now he wants the med list. She's in trouble, now she's mad at the friend for being honest. Lakesmith there is no honesty in drugs.

my son passed away in Nov. 2004, from an overdose of Oxycontin and Xanex prescribed by a "dr" in Newport News. He never examined him, did bloodwork or asked him if he was taking any other meds. He gave my son 1300 pills in 2 months. The "dr" also suspected he was a dealer or addict---THEN WHY GIVE HIM THE PILLS? He murdered my son. He also never told my son the dangers of mixing certain drugs- just asked him what drugs he wanted and gave it to him. This "dr" is a dealer in a white coat.

I've lost friends ,and family members due 2 drug overdoses n i wanted 2 blame every1 besides the people i loved, but the truth is when these docs write these scripts we r told the proper way 2 administer them, and weither we chose 2 do this the correct way is kind've on us as the patients.since these occurances i have found myself n a position where i had 2 take pain med's n the shame u feel from ur family all the way 2 the pharmacy is radiculous. can people not understand sometimes there are reasons these meds r wrote,n unless we're n each docs office we r merly speculating. although i do agree if we r going 2 b treated by these physicians shouldnt they at least no our names, health historys n possibly rite a logical number of med's.

IT AINT THE DOCTERS FAULT;HES GIVING PEOPLE DRUGS THAT HAVE BEEN PROVEN OVER DECADES TO WORK ON ANXIETY. THE MENTAL HEALTH CENTER GAVE ME EXPERIMENTAL DRUGS IN HOPES THAT THEY WOULD WORK, INSTEAD THEY HAD ADVERSE REACTIONS ON ME ,THEY EITHER GAVE ME PANIC ATTACKS OR MADE ME STAY AWAKE OR MADE ME PISS ON MYSELF,MY ONLY CURE IS THE TIME PROVEN STUFF, JUST BECAUSE STUPID IDIOTS MIX XANEX WITH PAIN PILLS AND DIE WAS THEIR OWN FAULT.. EVERYBODY KNOWS NOT TO MIX THEIR PRESCRIPTIONS, THE DOCTERS REMIND EVERYBODY EVERY DAY OF THAT. I,VE HAD FREINDS DIE MYSELF FROM OVERDOSES,(IT WAS THEIR OWN FAULTS,IN EVERYCASE) THEY NEW THE RISK BUT THEY DID IT ANYWAY. ITS SUICIDE IF YOU ASK ME!

I was told they now drug test to cover their butts in the dr's office. I work with this several guys who use one of these dr's and sell there script, one guy trades his for methadone, I can't seem to figure out how it doesn't show up on the drug test.

You can go out our back door at work in Addison and there is a group of people smoking pot, bosses know and do not care, one boss at the door smokes with them.

Bosses don't care, Police don't care. Just look the other way, it's their health.

my wife used Boswell. We went down for her 6 month appointment and she has been on one med now for 3 years. No issues etc. Her medicaid assigned us to Boswell. I sat there and she did not say anything out of the ordinary. When we left she was handed a prescription for 140 lortab 10's,xanax,vivance(amphetamine ).

She had no complaints of pain etc. So the pain meds are a mystery to us. The other meds she has not used in years.

Why does a 5'1 108 pound woman with NO pain complaints need 140 lortab 10's? I can only assume he assumed she was there for them when she did not even make a pain complaint.

Next trip in we noticed that out of 17 cars in the lot only two were even from our county. Some of the people say they spend the night in their cars then go home. And it is not at all unusual for people to be still waiting at 10 or 11pm to see him.

What legitimate dr. is open from 8 am until sometimes after midnight?

We are asking for a new doctor obviously.

You say these things but do you know how it feels to really be in pain and need the medications that these doctors are writing? I have 2 perf. disk in my back and complications from a neck injury I received when I was younger. There is no hope of these ever being fixed to the point of me being pain free - I say bless these physicians - they don't make me feel like a drug addict - they help me feel like getting in the floor and playing with my 6 year old little boy. So before you get on your soapbox and preach the word (by your account) how about trying on someone elses shoes for a change!! As far as the ones who are overdosing on meds - Where are all of you at while they are lonely and taking their pills to cope????
"they don't make me feel like a drug addict",
No, but Ali's office staff does!! I had to miss work and come in on 3 seperate occassions for appoitments and when I made the hour and 10 min drive, I was informed he wasn't in the office and I would have to reschedual. No phone call, no nothing. At Christmas time, I phoned in for my perscription 4 days in advance like you have to every month and when I went to the office to pick it up there was a sign on the door that they were closed till January 4th. Again, no notification, no message on the answering machine that always picks up cause they apparently are unable to ever answer the phone there. I went to the Birmingham office like the note said and they were closed too. I had to risk seizers and being off my meds for 8 days, that I need for 2 ruptured disks in my neck that pinch the nerves in my arms and hands to the point I am unable to do anything other then cry. I went in for my LAST appointment with him and after another hour and 10 min drive I was told my appointment was in the Birmingham office instead of the Jasper office, where I had always had them. No one told me it was in B-ham and I was told by Robin (nurse there), that I should have known he was in Birmingham that day...Apparently you have to be a Psychic to be a patient there, as I have no idea the days he is there (it changes all the time). She then told me I was "sh.t out of luck on my meds for the weekend," because my script was in B-ham. I called the B-ham office to see if they would wait 10 mins late for me to get there and pick it up and I was informed they were paid by the hour and they do not do overtime. Really? How many hours have I waited in that stupid office for appointments that get changed after you have been there 2 hrs? How many hours have I waited for perscriptions on the day I was supposed to pick it up..and believe me you better pack a lunch because you are gonna be ALL day!! They can't wait 10 mins for their screw up...I have had enough and I told them I wanted my medical records so I can go and see a real doctor. They said I can have then in 2 -4 weeks, gave me meds for 2 weeks, and told me it was gonna be a charge of $150 by the time they add up all thir costs for records, apparently it is like $5 a page...Yeah, Ali's office is wonderful, I hope you enjoy the hoops you have to jump through, I am getting out before they make me do the hokie pokie to get the medication that allows me to have a sum what normal life.....

DR. BOSWELL, IS A PILL PUSHER, I have seen addicts use him for pills to keep there supplys going. He's nothing more than a pill pusher. He over prescribes, knowing patients are addicts he still throws Lortabs, oxcodone, Zanax, and the whole mix at them.. Not stingy either.. 180 pills per month, some more! We wonder why people are dying. Yes, Dr.s are a BIG PART OF THE PROBLEM, WHO ever says there not is WRONG... My son became addicted to pain meds. thanks to Boswell, as have amny other young people, These dr.s ARE A BIG PART OF THIS PROBLEM.. I work in the medical field and see it everyday! No the Dr.s do not make the patients take the pills, But for Gods sake, they think if the Dr. says take ten a day they have to take ten a day! After a year ten a day doesnt work anylonger, and up goes the doseage and often changes to harder more addictive opiate type drugs. Thus we are CREATING DRUG ADDICTS RIGHT OUT OF THE DR.S OFFICES! It really needs to stop. Bowell needs to be barred from medical pratice as do some of the other pill pushers in Walker County! I hope the DEA throws him under the prison systems. I do not know how he can sleep at night with the blood on his hands of so many people he has assited to their demise.

By the way: to help: If everyone here witha complaint against these Dt.s Mainly Doc Boswell,(I hate calling him a dr.) Should CONTACT THE NET TEAM IN JASPER, AND CALL THE DEA ABOUT THIS... I think IF WE ALL called the AMA, AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSC. and complained they should invesigate him!
Part of his OATH AS A PHYSICAN IS TO : DO NO HARM!

He is getting away with overdosing his patients on drugs they do not need and He is also contributing to the illegal street trade of precription meds.
