Great place to launch and fish. Big Break Marina is a nice and relaxing place. Fishing Tackle, Cold Drinks, Ice, Bait, they have it all. Helped me with my flat trailer tire at no charge with a smile. I don,t see that kind of service anymore. They got their Bass together!

Be Careful the last "national tournament" that launched out of Big Break found out the hard way. "Sure plug in your boat overnight let them charge Saturday night." To find out the power was cut over night to all the boats. Oops.

Pushed out the Hook Line and Sinker tackle shop to open up a restaurant. Have not seen a restaurant open yet and its been 5 yrs.

Ask Unocal why there large orange ball is still sitting in the yard... They could not put up with the crook owner..

If you want to run a tournament try Bethal Island or Lauritzens Marina.

Great place for Tournaments. Nice Dockage and service. Been real happy with staff. Big Break Marina has hosted over 750 pro events. Close to hotels. Happy camper. The Hook was kicked out by DuPont, not the current owner.

We were driving around today looking for a covered slip. Some guy came out of boat that was docked out front and asked if he could help us. He was so rude! I couldn t believe this was someone representing themselves in a business that rents to prospective tenants. He acted as if he couldn t be bothered. I asked if he could take us and show us the slips. His reply, what do you want to see?...They're right there. I was so offended and turned off so I just said never mind. Obviously he was less than motivated to walk us anywhere on the grounds. This was not a place that I wanted to bring my business. It was clear to us by his combative attitude that he didn t want the business. Wow!

i was looking for a marina close by and i went check big break marina since it's close to where i live. to my surprise, i was approach a guy with few front teeth missing and told me that only first class mid-size and insured boats are allowed in his berthing areas (this is nice, i thought). he then took me for a walk on his buildings and saw all the thick cob webs, wet and dried racoon shits all over the building pile of it. what a lie and nasty the place is. i experienced the same thing as "optknocking" above had with the management. the owner was so rude and that does not surprise me why this marina is empty, very few tenants.
