Guest commentary: There is a five-alarm brewing with fire service in East Contra Costa
There are 3 comments on the Contra Costa Times story from Sep 12, 2015, titled Guest commentary: There is a five-alarm brewing with fire service in East Contra Costa. In it, Contra Costa Times reports that:
I've been worried about this since the district was turned over to local control in 2010 and I was appointed to the first board to represent the interests of my hometown, Oakley. The district had eight stations, 53 firefighters and a gaping hole in its budget caused by a downturn in the real estate market. Basic emergency medical aid is all it provides. The fire district is currently living within its means and we are getting exactly what we're paying for. Jim Frazier represents parts of Contra Costa and Solano counties in the California Assembly.

Frazier is a fool. He knows better or should have. State law prohibits any tax allocations-especially school allocations, to be diverted into any other taxing authority. His suggestions are about as foolish is having you believe your neighbor is willing to pay your mortgage when you come up short at the end of the year. It isn't going to happen. C'mon Jimbo, if you are going to fill the seat of an assemblyman, at least know your material or go back to pounding nails.
